      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[B75] Crash placing plank in same block as chiseled slab

I placed a block of birch planks on the ground, chiseled the top twice and front once. I tried placing a single birch plank on top of the block and nothing happened. But then I tried to place it upright on the ground in front of the block, in the space exposed when I chiseled the front of the block, MC crashed.

Apparently the bug has been with us since at least build 72.

This is due to minecraft limitations. Two different types of blocks can't occupy the same space. This would be VERY hard to fix, so I don't think we can expect a fix, sorry.

Well I think we could expect a fix for TFC to not crash when someone attempts to place it there. Just another check to see if this block is occupied by a slab block.

I don't think mayaknife was saying we need to be able to combine them, just that the game shouldn't crash if someone attempts it, and I agree.

Correct. I would have been surprised if it actually worked. But it shouldn't crash.
