      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Other Mod Compatibility?

Has anyone been able to get a minimap mod (I'm trying Zan's) to work with TFC in 1.5.1? It's been a while since I've done anything with mods, and I can't seem to get this one to work. I've gone through the normal install process, but it doesn't even show up. Is this something to do with forge (I've never used that before) or is it just something I'm doing wrong.

Also, I can't seem to find a META-INF folder in the jar that gets downloaded...

Rei's works fine, never tried Zan's. You just drop the zip file in your mods folder.

You shouldn't have to delete the META-INF any more when putting forge into your minecraft.jar.

I tried that, it just kept crashing the launcher. I'm trying a fresh install now to see if that helps.

With the fresh install the launcher loads, but still no minimap. I don't know what I'm doing wrong here. I go into the folder that the launcher creates when the game is first downloaded, then into the minecraft folder within that, and drop the .zip into the mods folder, still nothing...

Tried both dropping mod into mods folder and unzipping and dumping it into the jar. Nothing. Black Screen of Death. Not sure what is happening.

I guess the launcher is a good idea, but if you want to add other mod, just use something like magic launcher, super easy to use.

Wait, wait, wait...remember TFC is using 1.5.1, while Rei's Map is now 1.5.2....is that causing the problem?

nope, i'm using the 1.5.1 version for both the .jar and the map mod.
