How to get old versions of files

Want to build an old TFC version? here's how!

look up the version you want. you need to know the TFC version, forge version, and minecraft version. I would suggest looking through the TFC change logs to get that.

how to get that version of TFC core:

see this url? that a download link. see the build and hotfix numbers? change that to what version you want, and type it in your browser

how to get that forge version:

this is pretty easy as the main download page had a lot of old versions on it.

how to get that minecraft exe/jar... it's pretty simple too. this is an example url:

http:// assets.minecraft.net/1_3_2/minecraft_server.jar

see the 1_3_2? that's the minecraft version number. dont want server JAR? type .exe instead, or remove the _server. you can apparently go back to mid-beta versions using that link, but I haven't tested it.

finally, get player Api:

their minecraft forum post has a lot of old versions. old versions are down towards the bottom of the main part.

other mods:

most other mods also list old version by appropriate minecraft version, but finding those are on you. try the official minecraft forum thread or their website first.

The URL shortener seems to cut out a lot of the link info, can I request an edit with the HTTP spaced away so we can see the full text? You can open in new window to get it, but some link to direct downloads.

Forge/API/MC version is pretty easy to track down, but TFC doesnt seem to have any documented archive anywhere- there obviously is one, its just not listed anywhere.
