      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Issues with Ceramic Vessel [TFC 0.77.10]

7 posts in this topic

Good morning everyone!

I have a really annoying problem with Ceramic Vessels.

I started a fresh new world (deleting configs after update), dug a hole in the ground, saved myself from baby zombies and ate onions, garlic and peppers - this allowing me to win the "TFC bad breath cup".

I was ready to enter the bronze age as I put 6x Native Copper Nuggets, 3x Small Tetrahedrite and 1x Small Cassiterite in a Ceramic Vessel, and fired it up in a pit kiln.

I picked up the vessel and a green word ("Bronze") was suggesting me I was doing it right. I right clicked to enter the GUI in order to place a mold (namely a saw mold), but... nothing happened. Nothing. Right click is simply not working with vessels.

I tried to look for hints on this forum, but I did not find anything useful for this kind of problem.

I have Optifine, Zan's Minimap, and a couple other mods not altering the TFC game mechanics (just graphics). The Resource Pack is Faithful 32x.

Running smoothly on a MacBook Pro.

PLS HALP :)

You left the vessel for too long and it solidified. Fire it up in a kiln again and this time use it in at most 10 hours after the kiln finishes. It has to say "Liquid" under the "Bronze" to be usable.

Dang! I thought I had been quick enough but apparently not. The word "liquid" is not there.

Thank you very much, I'll try this night and eventually put solved in topic's title.

hoseja is half right, half wrong

You need to stay around to use the vessel when the metal is still liquid (you will see "Bronze - Liquid" if it is), but you do not fill tool mold from the vessel, you need to poor it in ingot mold, and when it's still hot, you open the ingot mold gui (same way as you do it for the vessel) and you transfer metal from the ingot mold to the tool mold

I've done it for you. For next time though, edit your first post, and then at the bottom click on "Use Full Editor". This will bring up the option to change the topic title.
