      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Chest Types

5 posts in this topic

Alright so I feel that there isn't any variety with the chests. What I was basically thinking is for each plank/log type to have their own chest color. Just a little suggestion, and I hope it gets implemented!

I wood (HA HA HA! so funny) like my chest different colors, and possibly add some sort of crate that can be put in a 2 by 2 by 2 square and has more storage space than regular chests.

Actually, I would prefer less chest. I think there should be different way to store items based on their types.

We already have tool racks, log piles and ingot piles. Food should go into jars or "ice rooms". Armor on armor stands. Stone, coal and charcoal should go into piles on a ground. Etc..

vessels!!

ancient people stored EVERYTHING on these stuff, from oil to charcoal, wine to dryed fish!

this and barrels, depending if the civilization had resources for pottery!

and, yeah, other stuff was just stored on the ground somewhere!

I hope the GUI changes with chests and other stuff , we can make a singular storage for evergy item using the cretive like GUI that is bassed on calculating item weight instead of permiting items that are bellow that weight to enter the chest (leaning on the quantiuty size of that chest) ,with such we could make meat root , because we are not bound to hte space size of the chest but the entire item weight of the chest .....

Different chest colours and types can be acomplished with a " "ressource"(texture) pack " but it would be somewhat nice to see some higher level of personilazation to be added , like naming the chest inventories (assuming you folllow the idea above)and creating chest partitions in that chest like ,the partitions are in the creative inventory .

We have "dye"s we have paper and we have wool , you can dye your woll what is stopping you from doing that to your wall , maybe this can be incorporated in "dye"-ing the chests ?It would be rather pequiliar to add that because of intentional missuse .....but then again you can make "dye"-ing a larger area less fun and expensive ......with adding another ingredient to the paint to make it sticky and making fast drawn things ...(count the addition of the movement of the mouse) have a giant chance of fast disaperence or a rather large chance of random paint everywhere ......so making that only people who wan't to make it preety can and those who wan't to destroy that they can't destroy....
