      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Crash when trying to update

I tried to update from 0.77.22 to 0.78.3. I'm running 9.10.1.871 of Forge. I replaced the old version of TFC in my mods folder with the new one, but it crashes every time I try to run the game again.

I'd suggest you uninstall entirely and follow the installation instructions as posted on the Wiki.  You have the wrong versions and several unsupported mods installed.

 

 

Minecraft Version: 1.6.2 - should be 1.6.4

Forge{9.10.1.871} - should be 9.11.1.965

it's the last one for 1.6.4, or check the download page. Also note that your world will no longer work

As stated in the 78.0 Changelog:

  • Requires that you generate new worlds. Many block ids have changed among other things that will possibly make established worlds crash.

As the others stated, you'll need to update forge to 9.11.1.965, Minecraft to 1.6.4, as well as update all of your other mods to the 1.6.4 versions.
