      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Hey guys, I'm just asking about some one by one tunnels I've found that do curl around, they're not straight, I went into creative and did the ol' TNT and piston x-ray trick, and they're really common in the area I'm in

I noticed them too. It seems intentional. I didn't find one yet, but I saw them when MC didn't have chunks loaded properly. Maybe you can use them to prospect easily.

Does it say Stability:1 on the F3 debug menu? If so, you just found a fissure.

Yeah, i tried swimming down and breathing by placing torches in my face. and there was no ore at all. It was weird man, but maybe it is intentional

Ok yeah, that's a fissure. Sometimes they'll have lava in them too.

Just an aesthetic thing for now. Might be useful when body temperature is implemented, and may have a use if seismic activity (earthquakes, volcanoes) are added.
