      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Spawning in different place after death?

Greetings,

 

I would like to ask if it is some feature of the mod to have your spawn point changed after death. This did not happen at first, but after playing a while and dying it seemed to have spawned me in a different place. Is this supposed to happen?

I found this bug too, and it's really frustrating, because I'm lost in the wild... :D

There were changes in how spawn points were calculated in both 78.6 and 78.7 to prevent spawning in oceans as well as trees, so it's possible that these changes altered your spawn point. However, if after updating your spawn point is still changing multiple times within the same version, then that is a bug.

My spawn point is not variable in b78.7

Due to the bug feature my spawn point moved up in a jungle tree (b78.6). I've updated to b78.7 since then, but I'm fairly desperate to find some wool so I can make a bed and reset it back to terrafirma. I haven't died (yet) in b78.7, but if it changes again I'll check back in here.
