      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Alternative method to make limewater.

If you toss flux in a bucket a water, and toss the limewater in a barrel...why can't you toss flux in a barrel of water, seal it, and get a barrel of limewater?

Because there would need to be dilution ratios and calculations. Otherwise you could make 8 buckets of limewater using a single flux.

But what about tannin? or alcohol brewing?

why don't make ratios? Too difficult to code? Like you put 8 flux in a barrel full of water and that's it. Seal.

Neither of those have crafting methods to produce them that would need to be balanced to match

Yes, but then what happens if you have a full barrel of water and you only put in 7 flux? Now the game would have to do more calculations when you press the seal button to check if the combination actually works, and would perhaps just not let the barrel seal (which the player then is confused as to why it isn't working), or you only get 7 buckets worth of limewater and the water is destroyed? There is no way with the current barrel system to have multiple liquids inside like how we handle putting too much jute/leather inside where it just stores the leftover to give you when you take the rest out.

Barrels are going to be reworked in the future. When brewing is properly re-implemented, I'd like to take a new look at how barrels function. You can do a lot more with them now than was originally planned, and new functionality was mostly tacked on when needed, but I think a rework with all the functionality in mind would be best.
