Barrel alcohol fix maybe.

so i know that the barrels haven't been able to make anything but rum for a while now. 

 

so i started thinking of ways to set the barrels up with the food system. 

 

sadly im not a coder so i can't just try and do it myself. would be awesome if i could.

 

 

basically the idea is that a stack of 160oz counting as 1 buckets worth of water. so in order to make alcohol with the foods you would first need to get 160oz and have 1 buckets worth empty in the barrel. when the barrel opens after sealing times up. you will have a 100% full barrel.

 

another idea was to implement an entirely new system for alcohol all together. where you need to make a distillery. a copper jug that acts like a normal jug you can get water with it and it will store even more then the normal jug. about 3 uses worth. 

 

you then place it down onto a fire-pit(as in shift place onto the fire-pit) and it turns it into a "distiller". you then place half water and then a set amount of either grain or fruit into the "distiller" and put 16 logs into it. so the pit will have 4 slots like the log pile that takes 4 each. you then hit a button either called seal or light and then wait the same amount of time as you normally would for a sealed barrel. 

 

 

well that's my suggestion. hope it helps and hope you find a way to fix the barrel alcohol problem soon. i really want to start making cider and selling it on the server i play on.

We already have a lot of plans for the barrel and hope to implement them soon, although they will most likely be coming in 1.7. We've pinned down the functions of the barrel, for the most part, but are still deciding on how to implement them and what new features need to be added to meet the requirements of these new functions.
