      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Put a ceramic mold in the slots on the right side of the forge, and then heat the refined bloom in the forge. It will melt into a liquid wrought iron unshaped ingot. Once you have both of them as liquid temperature, put one in your hand and right click to open up the casting interface. It will automatically put the one you clicked in the slot on the left, then put the second one in the first slot on the right (there is a ghost image of the unshaped ingot) to combine them.

When I make iron bloom, i use rich ores if possible. You end up with a 840% bloom. (24 ores with a value of 35)

After I split them, I put all 100% blooms in the forge and melt them down. (don't forget the ceramic molds)

I collect the blooms with less than 100% until i have a view. Then heat up a crucible and melt them down there. That way you can easily create full ingots from leftovers

REFINED blooms < 100% (produced by splitting a Refine bloom >100% that is not a multiple of 100%) can be melted in the forge to make a partial ingot that can be combined with other partial ingots.

RAW blooms <100% (produced when your total bloomery output is less than 100%) have to be thrown back into the bloomery with more charcoal and ore until it surpasses 100%.

Refined blooms CAN be put in the crucible as well, regardless of their %.  I always heat the raw, work, split, then toss them in my crucible.
