      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

torches burnout

so, torches are alway buring? not realy realistic, so i thought make it so the torches can burnout and you need a fire starter to light them again!

( i know this was a thing planned for minecraft :) )

No, No, No! Please, not. With all those enemy mobs this would be a bad idea. Let me make an example: You come home from a long hike through the forrest, you enter the house, then a creeper spawned inside your house (because torches are effectivly the only light source) blows you and the front of your house up.

Still a good idea? I think not, poeple in minecraft like building stuff, poeple in TFC like a challenge, but they generally don't like repairing their home from a creeper that spawned inside their house.

Fair point but there has been discussion about alterations to mobs in the way that they spawn and potentially removing the unrealistic ones for natural enemies such as bears and wolves(violent ones).

Then it wouldn't be a point of issue, as long as mobs don't spawn inside buildings I am completly fine with it.

Maybe make the terrain smooth? Blocks aren't very realistic. Also make water finite like in the Finite Liquids mod? Infinitely flowing water is pretty unrealistic too! The Nether doesn't exist in real life, let's remove it! =.=

I agree with the water but the smooth blocks would be more than is possible with a mod as far as I am aware.

Uhh, you do realise that kid was just raging, right?

And finite water is fine, as long as rain replenishes water. Actualy with salt water finite water would be pretty usefull, that way you could make salt.

I just wanted to say that there should be a limit to the realism, this is still Minecraft :/

Look, with all this cool stuff going on I and probably many others feel that creepers and zombies no longer really fit the feel of the mod, they need to change to fit in with the mod.
