      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Nothing we can do to fix this since it is indeed caused by lag, and it really isn't an exploit considering the amount of time and effort it would take to get enough units to make a single ingot.

What about a lag so severe(like 'Can't keep up! Running behind 2***** ms, skipping 9** tick')? I've got a lot of that.

BTW, what can I do with 1 unit of metal? T.T

The can't keep up message should only be happening when generating new chunks. Beyond running 1272+ forge and Fastcraft there is not much you can do to fix this as it is a consequence of 145 y sea level and the way MC handles rendering.

As for 1 unit of metal. Stick an ingot mold in there to remove. More of the same metal type can be added to this partly filled mold.

In addition to what Bunsan said about using the correct version of forge and fastcraft, make sure that you have the correct version of java installed. If you are running a 64bit OS, make sure that you not only have 64bit java installed, but that the Minecraft launcher is using that 64bit version, and not some other java version that might still be installed on your machine. Also make sure that you have the proper amount of memory allocated (too much OR too little will both cause issues) and look into using JVM arguments to help with garbage collection. If you're on a 32bit OS, there really is nothing you can do to help with performance other than upgrading to a machine that can run a 64bit OS.

You can do the exact same thing with 1 unit of metal that you can do with 10 units of metal, or any other amount of leftover metal since you do not have to make metal batches in multiples of 100. Put it in an unshaped ingot mold so that you have a partially filled one. The next time that you make another batch of that metal and you have some more left over, put that same partially filled mold back in to add the leftover metal to it. Eventually you will have had at least an ingot's worth of "leftover" metal, at which point you can take it out of the mold. At any given time, the only "waste" that you will ever have is a single unshaped ceramic ingot mold, with less than an ingot's worth of metal in it.
