      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

You're on Minecraft Forge 1230, which is over 2 months old at this point. I'd recommend upgrading to 1272 (as recommend on the 79.14 changelog) or newer and see if that fixes it.

You didn't install forge properly, this has nothing to do with TFC. Forge has an installer for a reason, do not try to install it manually. Use the installer.

io.netty.channel.ChannelException: failed to open a new selector: Update to version 10.13.0.1180 or above. Previous versions: Add -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true to your VM args.

I am still recieving the same crash. i deleted .minecraft and re installed. then i installed forge using forge-1.7.10-10.13.2.1277-installer-win.exe. i recieved the error message missing libraries (11 files) and ran the install under recommended settings. the install was successful but crash on world generation. what am i doing wrong?

Did you run the installer again until you no longer got the missing libraries error? Remove TFC from your mods folder, so that the only thing that you have installed is forge. Does the crash still happen? If so, you're going to have to go to forge support, because this is not a TFC issue. If you haven't already used the VM argument that I quoted above, you need to do that as forge support is just going to tell you to do that and then lock your topic.

try to run minecraft only with forge installed, before installing TFC - does that work?also not sure if TFC works with forge 10.13.3.1277, TFC was build for 10.13.2.1272 EDIT: disregard this, I just tested with .277, it is not crashing!

Solved this issue. Forge was installing incorrectly due to outdated version of java.
