[Solved] Z coordinate for Snow

Apologies for slightly diverting the thread, but could someone suggest an appropriate z coordinate range to get snowy winters and rainy spring/summer/autumns? Y'all seem likely to know

Z = 0 is similar to the Equator. Z = -30,000 is similar to the arctic circle. With those two points in mind, and also remembering that TFC only does continental climate, so it won't match the climate of areas on earth that have their weather influenced by the ocean, you can get a pretty good idea of what the weather is going to be like at any spot.

 

The other thing to keep in mind is that the climate varies slightly from year to year, so an area that just barely freezes in the winter months during one year might freeze for a much longer period of time the next year. Precipitation (rain and snow) is also still just on the vanilla timer of every few days if no players sleep to reset the timer.
