ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -

Are there any problems that I might encounter if I use a newer version of IC2? Minecraft loaded up fine and I was able to create a world without any null pointer exceptions. Are there any hidden issues that might arise from doing so? -

So there I was just cooking up some lamb chops. I then thought, 'Why does wood just disappear instead of turning into ash?' Perhaps, in-game, once a log loses its burn it would turn into ash and if there is too much ash the firepit or forge will suffocate and die out. Removing the ash would be a necessity. There are a couple of real world applications of wood ash such as using it as a fertilizer and by converting it to lye, which is used as a preservative for canned fruits.both of these things could be used to great effect in TFC. The wood ash by itself could be used to boost crop yield (not make the crops grow faster). I know food spoilage has been touched on many times, so I won't delve into it, but the preservative qualities of lye could be very useful in the event spoilage is ever implemented.

4 hours is too little regardless of the amount of people. When I play minecraft, it's all day long and four hours just seems like a crappy four hour shift at work where I don't get enough hours. Essentially, I feel like I'm getting short changed.

I understand that there is already some geological events going on currently in TFC such as cave-ins and sink holes. But why not expand on that idea? In think things such as landslides right after a heavy rain, rock falls on steep mountain slopes, and earthquakes occurring near ravines (possibles faultline?) will make things much more interesting. I believe it would make the mod come alive; like nature is constantly changing. Edit: and why not volcanos while we are at it? Those are always fun Edit: I know snow is relatively rare in TFC, but maybe avalanches as well? I am aware that any of this things would be extremely difficult to code but it helps to throw ideas out there, right?
