      Server Move   09/13/18

      I (Dries007) have recently taken over as main developer and server admin. This involved moving servers to reduce cost. It's likely there will be some more downtime in the future but most  things should be sorted by now. This forum is in dire need of replacement as the software is quite old and can't be easily updated. If you wish to discuss or stay updated, join our discord: https://invite.gg/terrafirmacraft. The forum will remain available to read, but will be locked in the future, when a new system is setup. The forum and wiki are now ad free.   1. I just believe that it is best to simply omit the furnace. In vanilla, the furnace can be easily made with little resources, and also the alchemical furnace is already furnace shaped without it.
  2. So after playing around with this mod a bit, I have some feedback. First of all, a lot of recipes haven't still been modified to work with tfc. Like for instance, I cant craft Warded Jar, since the recipe hasnt been updated to use slabs. There are also many more examples of this, but the ones that I really want to see fixed are node stabilizers/transducers, the arcane furnace, alchemical constructs, arcane alembics, vis charge relays, and some wand foci which already work quite well with tfc.Also, the recipe for enchanted fabric is a bit too much. While i'm fine with the wool cloth, the 4 silk cloths around it is ridiculous. Each silk cloth costs 24 string to make, making one enchanted fabric cost a whopping 96 string. I already have enough trouble in vanilla tfc cobbling enough string for just one bed. But since you need 19 of the fabric to get the thaumaturges robes,pretty much a necessity for make the silverwood/thaumium wand, this means you need 1824 string for all of it, which is simply too much. The silk cloth should be changed back to just regular string, since silk cloth would be way too grindy. In addition, It would be cool if there were some wand caps to choose from bronze metals. Like black bronze caps would be the best bronze cap available, followed by bismuth and then normal bronze. Next, I think greatwood trees are too common. In my opinion.Chopping one down almost fills up your entire inventory with logs, making them quite overpowered for producing charcoal. I think that like sequoias, kapok, and acacia trees, they shouldn't drop saplings, and be made at least 10 times rarer. Anyways, I really enjoy this compatibility mod so far, keep up the good work.

    It's quite sad to see the only good TFC server go down. This was one of my favorite servers, and it also had a surprisingly good community. For the most part, in my opinion, lion was an excellent owner, as he was very helpful in the time I started playing, and he also dealt with several problems thoroughly and justly. This server also had some amazing buildings, such as sayreg's castle, and it would be a shame to lose such time consuming projects. This is one of the best servers I've played on, and it's a shame for it to go.

    I have decided to leave the server. It was a tough choice, but we were recently internally robbed and lost pretty much everything. all of our hard work was lost due to some one in our town. we lost pretty much everything we had of value. All of our sheep, pigs, cows and horses were murdered.I lost our blast furnace, anvils, ores, e.t.c. I just want whoever did this to come forth and say that they did rob me. I thought I could trust people on here, but apperently I can't.

    the crucible is still bugged. i tried using a ceramic vessel, but you cant put ingots inside a ceramic vessel. Can i have 10 weak red steel ingots because the crucible simply doesnt work?

  9. Berry Overhaul

    Have you read, understood, and followed all of the rules listed in large text at the top of the suggestions forum?(Yes/No):Yes Answering "no" to the above question will result in your post being deleted. Instead of using irl berries such as blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries, TFC 2 should have randomly created berries specific to the world type. For instance, every bush is unique to the world. The textures of the berries would be generated similarly to the creation of dyed leather armor, by randomly selecting a color and overlaying it on a random preselected texture for berries. When you find a Berry, you can name it Berries will also fall into one of three groups: edible, poisonous, and medicinal. You can find out which berries are edible or not by observing wildlife eat berries, or eat the berries yourself. In world, 40% of berries will be poisonous, 50% will be edible, and 10% will be medicinal. If you eat a poisonous berry, depending on the toxicity, you will get effects like temp slowness from barely poisonous berries to extreme poison and death from extremely poisonous berries. Poisonous berries can be ground up and mixed with water to make poison, whose toxicity will depend on the berries that were used to make it. You can dip arrows and javelins into said poison to make lethal weapons that can kill enemies. When harvested, the amount of berries produced will be about the same as 1/2 the harvest of edible berries. If you find an edible or medicinal berry, and eat it, a tool tip under the berry will display "edible". Edible berries will usually have a bigger harvest than medicinal berries or poisonous berries, but wont have any special properties other than being edible. Medicinal berries can be discovered by eating berries, and if your health goes up a bit after eating the berry, than its a medicinal berry. If you discover a berry to be medicinal, a tooltip will say "medicinal" under the name of an item. These berries will heal a bit of health on their own depending on how strong they are, but when ground up and mixed with water they will create medicine which can be used to have a temp increase in regen (for like 24 hours).Medicinal berries are edible as with edible berries, but don't produce as much when harvested. Also, in SMP, you can share your knowledge about berries with other people by right clicking them and there will be a pop up box asking the player if he wants to share the information. In case of pvp servers, sharing of knowledge about berries could be disabled to not annoy people while killing other people. Hope you enjoy these ideas!
