ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -

I just tried logging on and got an update to the next patch, but when I checked on the website I didn't see anything about a new one. I think it's a beta thing, but I don't know why I got it. I only play multiplayer and now I can't get onto my server.

On the wiki it says you can smelt it using a firepit, but when I tried, it wouldn't get past Very Hot *** (I think. I forget the actual number of stars.) I waited and it even ate up like 4 logs but wouldn't change. How do I smelt this?

I understand that this mod is all about making things more realistic and upping the difficulty level of normal vanilla minecraft, but it just seems so tedious and unnecessary to me to have to destroy all of a tree's leaves before chopping it down to get sticks and saplings. I don't think it wouldn't take away from the game if sticks and saplings still dropped when you chopped down a tree. If people have problems with that then maybe you can reduce the chance of them dropping vs. when you actually destroy each leaf yourself. If not that, then at least implement some sort of system where you can make sticks yourself or find a way to ensure sapling drops, maybe through something agricultural related.

Is there a way to get optifine and rei's minimap on the MultiMC version of this? I tried putting them into the mods folder but the mod textfile is different...

Ummm never mind, I finally got optifine installed (seems like I had a version installed that wasn't compatible.) and now it is MUCH better. Phew.

Am I the only one who experiences lots of lag while trying to play this mod? I am able to play FTB on fancy graphics with no problems, but trying to play single player on TerraFirmaCraft even with graphics set to fast and render set to normal, I get pretty horrible amounts of lag. I tried installing Optifine but couldn't get it to work. I'm not sure what's wrong, but I'd appreciate it if someone could help me. I remember when I first tried playing FTB it was too laggy for me, so I installed 64 bit java and all the lag went away. I don't have 32 bit java installed anymore so I don't think that would be the cause of anything. I really would like to play this but currently it's just unplayable because I don't feel like going through the fps drops every time new chunks start loading.
