      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    This has already been discussed to death, necro'd, discussed back down into the archives, and then resurrected in new threads. D&B have specifically stated that they will not buff speed on roads, and will in fact - if the whim strikes them - simulate the effect by making you move at a permanently debuffed speed unless you're on a road.

    As Allen said, Dunk is already working on pretty much everything you mentioned as we speak.Pigs will be boars, cows will be aurochs, chickens will (likely) be red jungle fowl if I had to guess (he hasn't said much about them), and deer will be fast as fuck. Of these, the first two will be hostile, and will hit back. Hard. Also If You Type Like This No One Will Take You Seriously, I Mean Come On Even German Only Capitalizes Every Noun.     Actually, much of fermenting is done by just letting it sit out exposed to the air a bit. Saccharomyces Cerevisiae (the yeast used in both baking and brewing) spores are just chillin' in the air in most parts of the world. You're probably breathing some in right now.

    I like the idea of being able to get ice, but crushed ice should be a place-able 1/8th block, like charcoal. It would lower the temperature around it by a rate determined by Dunk and co, hyperbolically trending towards 0C in directly adjacent blocks. After removing X many points of temperature from adjacent blocks, it will melt into an appropriate level of water, which will likely dissipate into the ground unless you had full blocks.This could be used to create ice rooms underground, where large amounts of crushed ice can be stored in nice insulating stone chambers for the summer, when food can be stored there (since cool temperatures reduce decay). I know in the winter, I have no problems just leaving my food on the damn countertops and it stays under 1% decay for weeksBut in the summer? Oh lawd, do I wish I had a nice cold place to tuck my horse meat into. ...that sounded dirtier than I meant it...

    Edit, because just dropping a picture is technically spam: It would probably be best if adding malt to a barrel just produced a barrel of unsealable malt, and then a random tick update changed it to a barrel of activated malt, which could then be sealed. Otherwise, your booze won't be very boozey without a fermenting agent. Double edit: I wonder if anyone here remembers me...

    So this will be for all the small little bug fixes and minor tweaks we want in game. I'll update the OP periodically with a list of all the stuff you guys add in the thread, as long as it's balanced. If you post that you want another tool that breaks everything at vanilla diamond speed, you will be soundly ignored. - Please make generated mineshafts spawn vert. and horiz. supports instead of fences and planks. - Make the scythe harvest grass and flowers in an AOE, like the RedPower sickle. Possibly also grown wheat cereal crops. - 3D textures for campfires - Bones added to passive (non squid) mob drops - Mutton from sheep [Already being added] - Give chert a gravel-like flint drop rate - Grass blocks check for nearby grass blocks when updated, and behave like dirt if there are none - Allow anvils to be tossed into bloomeries (forges would be way too small) - Add a y-axis requirement for squid spawning space (need a 2x2x3 area, rather than just 2x2) - Give support beams more collision textures - Increase the break time of dirt blocks under trees - Place torches on support beams - Breaking a chiseled stair returns the original block instead of nothing - Place torches on chiseled stone - Stairs of each wood type - Add gridlines to knapping GUI - Make masonry affect chisel durability - Add a support strut reskin for stone brick supports using chisel - Rabbits as a food mob.   10. Ouch. Hey man, I know how that goes. Is there any way we can do something over on our end as users, to just kinda patch-work things so the old pack will work in a 1.5.2 client? I don't mind using a slightly out of date pack, or even one with a missing texture or two - I could patch that up myself. I just have things already started in 1.5.2 and can't really retrograde anymore

    unless you changed the frequency of small ore drops since I last played, if someone is willing to spend the amount of time and tedium required to effectively abuse regenerating small ore, they have bigger problems. Also, you could just make it so that only worldgen rocks can contain ore

    No, but it does equate to a better understanding of the forum as a community, where the lines are drawn, and just having overall more experience with things. A doctor that's been serving in practice for 20 years doesn't, by necessity, know any more than a grad student fresh out of his MD - but if I catch super meningitis malaria aids, I am NOT rushing to the guy who still hasn't paid off his student loans yet.
