      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Stoning your blade

What i meant was that one would need different amounts of copper for different tools. Simplest way is to assign a 4 Metal Points (0.04 of a full ingot) to a molding square that you "free" (we have 5x5 = 25 squares, 100 / 25 = 4). This way: - A knife consisting of 9 such freed squares would take up 36 MP - An axe 15 having squares would use up 60 MP - A hammer consisting of 11 squares would use 44 MP - A saw having 14 squares would use up 56 MP - etc. These values of course could be changed, as one full ingot (100 metal points) could give us 2 hammers, which compared to tools that are created only on anvil is a big difference. Breaking a tool ofcourse would bring out a fraction of such material, being able to smelt it again (using for example Ore chunk = 10 MP, knife would drop 2, axe 3, hammer 2, saw 3, etc.).
  2. Ingame Name: Ranadiel your age: 27 and where you are from: Poland why you want to play on our server ? : Have been playing on TFC SMP for a bit, still getting a hang of things. Want to check out how multiplayer works out
  3. Stoning your blade

This could be done with 4 ore pieces smelted equally as a full ingot, whether you receive 2-3 from a tool. Another aspect of creating tools is a notion proposed in this (or even others) topic - Pouring different amounts of material for tools leading to different amount of ore pieces drop after breaking a tool.
  4. Food and Energy System

I see two serious problems with this idea. 1. In the early stages obtaining water is easy, but food not so much. You either have to find and kill some animals or find fruits and vegetables. This is hard when you spawn on a large piece of land without much of water to get squids and/or where you don't have many animals in your vicinity. It would have to be thought over how much each action would deplete the stamina. I wouldn't want to chop a couple trees to have to fill my stamina from 0 to full. 2.I presume that without sleeping not much of stamina/energy would be recovered.Sleeping requires a bed. Unless some new methods of spending the night are implemented, you need to create one in order to sleep. I am playing an SMP world where i haven't found any sheep yet... and believe me, I was searching a lot... Having already smelted various copper tools i make boats and travel very far across the waters, but still am to have the comfort of sleeping in a bed... The whole idea is great, but details matter here.
  5. Stoning your blade

In my opinion the breaking of tools could result in the head of a tool to break into metal chunks and smelting it would give some ore back. As the stones can't be smelted then it would only cover metal tools.
  6. Build 77 Starting Shelters

I have seen a couple different ideas but all revolt about one common thing, but also lack another one... Here is my idea: Solution: 1. Gather some rocks and sticks to create standard tools - shovel, knife, axe. 2. Gather a lot Straw (three stacks would be enough), dig up some Dirt (one stack at most) and chop up a couple trees for wood.3. Find or dig up a flat surface of about 3x3 and 5x5 at least next to it. The second will be a your temporary home and could be bigger - 7x7 or 9x9 (i prefer odd dimension for these fields so in the center you can have a door (in the wall) or a fireplace.4. Place the first layer for the house using dirt. As it's a flat surface it will be okay (anything else can be used also, but i prefer dirt as it's all common). Next put on a second and a third layer of wall. Use some wood and Thatch to create steps to be able to jump onto the wall.5. Now next to the house make a hole 3x3x3 with a block wide line between the wall and the hole. This can be done from ground level not dropping into the hole as the maximum distance of digging a hole is 3 blocks down.6. Later on - upgrade. Description:Why the hole you say? Simply put, you can hit the zombies and other mobs with your hand and throw them into the hole as they're standing beside the wall and next to the hole. That's an easy way to make them stop following you, especially as even spiders can't jump 3 blocks up. The hole can be expanded to accomodate more "residents", but all undead will burn when the day comes. The others must be killed with an axe, without worrying that the mobs can attack. Advantages: Can be an easy way to get rid of hostile mobs, even circling around the hole. The hole can be also used as a waste dump for any unnecessary items such as flowers or gems. Just throw anything inside and as you don't fall down into it, you won't pick up the items and they will eventually dissapear. Disadvantages: Shooting mobs can get you easily from a distance so prodding them could prove difficult. Nonetheless, with a little deceipt (circling around the house) you can successfully send even skeletons to their misery in the hole. Another thing is to keep an eye where you walk, not to fall inside accidentally, especially after the upgrade. An Upgrade(Having a pick): Dig the hole around 20-25 blocks down into the ground and make a tunnel down to the bottom of the hole from the side. Prodding the enemies into the hole will make them fall to their death and you can collect experience easily from below. The house can be expanded (if you stay in that place for longer) or used for something else.

  8. 0.77.11 bug and translation mistake

Author's EDIT: Moved bug info to a seperate topic. Left the Additional question to avoid confusion. Additional question: I have created an SMP world and can't seem to find any sheep in it. Searched a couple days and a quite a distance from my home (used even an Rei's Map to help me track the animal mobs), but without success. Are there any conditions on spawning sheep?
