      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    Perhaps. I like the community-made rules with mod-available tools for it. But performing some simple ritual for a vague spiritual concept that has a chance to give like a 0.01% chance of getting slightly more yield when mining ores or something wouldn't be bad either.

    This. Smashing a chest is unnecessary when you can smash the far more delicate lock or whatever is attaching the lock to the chest.

    I think when you chop a tree down, you should have to chop it up on the ground to get logs from it. But the current system gives the appropriate time investment without the method I'd prefer.

    It's a very controversial topic. It's entirely understandable that they wouldn't want to touch it. That said, I'd love to see some religion-flavored items so people can better set up their own. It would cost stuff and give no real benefit. It'd be mostly a "for luck" thing if in Singleplayer and a "community" thing in SMP. Having a god that interacts with the MC universe would be silly though. In my opinion.

    Nice ideas. I think we'd want wheel durability though and be able to replace wheels, rather than whole wheelbarrows.To clarify, I meant the wheelbarrow should hold the same amount as a single chest. I also envisioned it taking up more than one block, so being an alternative to chests wouldn't be as feasible. Making smooth wheelbarrow roads would be a plus then.

    The thing is, if you allow an easy option, players swap to it when frustrated or "well just because X" Not allowing it at all removes the temptation and maintains the challenge. Basically, players don't always know what they find fun. It's a part of an overall experience.

    The leatherworking idea sounds really neat. Maybe satchels would give you like 4 more slots and only if you had them on your active bar. That sounds balanced to me. Anyone else like that?

  13. This is a fairly simple suggestion. I ask for a way to reset the rock knapping GUI if you have more rocks of the same type. Perhaps a button below the output that says "reset" that you can press after creating your item. Having to close and re-open the GUI every time increases the tedium of working with rocks, and seems to turn people off from the mod. I understand there must be motivation to use metal tools over stone ones, but this can really kill the mood for someone new to the mod. I appreciate your time, thank you.

    Being able to make altars, colored glass, and holy symbols, etc, sounds neat. I've been wanting to build a small church on my server. Actually making the "god" interact with the world seems silly. It'd be neat to add a little flavor, but irksome to actually be trying to appease a "higher being" of some sort. Hell, you could even add in sacrificing stuff to the altar if you want to. Have a special altar that allows burning materials for example. It'd be strictly for flavor, but lets people make demanding churches on servers for a little more immersion in communities. Basically, to sum up: religion in TFC sounds neat.....as a flavor. Not as a mechanic.
  15. Balanced recycling of tools

    This seems like a solid idea. You'd only get a small portion of an ingot of course, but it would also make you wonder about throwing out old tools on an expedition. If you have the space, you might just want to bring em back to the forge. Maybe even have it so you can craft a broken tool item into scrap metal, then smelt the scrap metal back to unshaped. This way you could stack scrap metal froma tin sword and a tin pick, for example, into one inventory slot. It adds a little more to inventory management and lets people feel like they can get more for their metal. Perhaps unnecessary in strict singleplayer, but on my multiplayer server we can go through metal pretty fast.

    Added Smart Moving to my server and suggested to all my players that they use it. It's a great mod, adds a lot to exploration.
