The spoilered stuff was a continuation off of your feed back, The bedrock dungeon, it just popped into my head. Instead of being an attached building, it would be under the courthouse. That's it really. I was thinking that an entrance could be a trap door where the accused stands, or a series of iron doors held open by a series of guards while they escort the prisoner to the dungeon, if those are still in TFC.There could be windows to let in light, maybe some torches (ye olde dungeon style), but the player would have his inventory emptied prior to incarceration (returned at end of sentance) to prevent an attempt to escape. Just an Idea that sounds cool to me

The books have been around since the 80's, I believe, with a short TV series (the source of my avatar) about the same time. Radio Broadcasts happened about the 90's... Back on topic, Jed, are you gonna update the OP with the metal shards idea?

The Judge could ask the Jury if the sentance seemed appropriate, if they thought it was too harsh or too light, they could suggest amends to it, only once, I think, so as not to filibuster the proccedings.<BR><BR>2. Would ease bias, certianly, but what if two of those factions are at war? the certianly wouldn't agree with eachother's decisions. Question about Factions. How would we know which factions, if any a player belonged to? Is there a way to give a player a title or something, to show he is a member of "suchandsuch" faction? Or would there be a big ol' registry in spawn city? Or would it just be word of mouth?

That certainly seems a good idea, a prison like that. But leaving the "judge, jury, and executioner" business to the server admin seems a little under powered but could also be abused by a vindictive admin. Justice system idea... 1. An admin on the sever will serve as a judge, who will decide how long a prison sentance should be for the guilty party, if items should be given as punishment from the guilty to the victim, things like that. 2. The current players at the time would be the Jury, listening to both sides of the argument, then have a majority vote to determine guilt. If the Judge feels that the guilt was given unfairly, he can alter or nullify the vote, on his judgement, maybe conferring with another admin, to get another opinion. 3. The accused and the victim will take turns recounting their sides of the story. Interruptions would not be tolerated, much, anyway, maybe a penalty for that, "contempt of court" things. They could call witnesses to strengthen thier side. 4. The bedrock prison, I like that. I the accused is found guilty, they'll be teleported to it and left there for what, in- game days or real life days? Seems like a week or so in game would be an ok baseline... Just some ideas, really... Feedback is welcome. Oh!!! Also, it would be neat if we could have a server courthouse. The judge, jury, and others would be teleported there, and maybe could use a /court so that the talk there wouldn't mess with other activities on server

If memory serves, there was a thread about disallowing dirt and sand towers, where you jump, place, jump and place over and over again, and suggested that it collapse into a coneish shape. It did have a few positive reviews, but it was shot down by dunk, I believe, saying "the coding for horisiontal cave-ins is so needlessly complicated and would be hard to implement" or something like that...

I've heard of it happening before, just not specifically with minecraft... You'd need to get in contact with a server designer or someone like that. I'm sure it's possible

This seems a fun idea, but how would several people play at once? On a server? if so, who would maintain the server? Or would it be a LAN connection? How would we tranfer the maps between MP and SP? If we want to do something like this, it seems the best thing to do would do what the creator wanted, a Single SSP map, passed amonst us as we die in game, with perhaps a lottery of interested parties to draw from to pass it on.

I've solved this problem by closing the client completely and restarting. Works 90% of the time

There are 3 lines that look like the bottom of the "spoiler" box under the actual spoiler. I click "show" and they are still there. Looking at the actual post, I think it has something to do with the "enter" spaces, the new lines, oyu put in it...

The Industrial Craft Server has very little lag. I don't know the specifics of the hardware, but any lag you had was your machine not being able to preform adequatly. They recently upgraded server sive, if memory serves, and actually has few problems with the rented space (again, the problems lie in the machines connecting to it, rather than the server itself). I believe that coming out of the building is a fiber optic connection. And Killerbee is the one incharge of the Killerbee Gaming site, and as far as I know, controls all of the server space personally... (well, he rents it from a company that maintains the hardware, but actually tells them what he wants and stuff) Don't take me for Gospel, I'm just recounting second-hand information form my friend

My Skin ingame has one, yes, and at college I carry one in my satchel. It HAS come in handy on more than one occasion

I just though of something, thanks for the spark. Why not call the broken tools, armor, what have you, something like "xXmetal_nameXx SHARDS", like " BISMUTH SHARDS". It's a nice blanket term for anything that breaks on the anvil, don't you think?

I mioght have to download this... Where might I find it, and how difficult is it to add to the minecraft folder?
