      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

i'm so confused holy crap

The wiki articles aren't exactly adept at showing you step by step procedures to getting things. How do I make a log pile? What is needed to get a high enough heat to smelt ores?

Experiementation... And you Shift+Right Click for a log pile and just add logs to a fire and wait for the ore to melt into a ceramic mold. (Which is made by cooking a clay mold, which is made from clay, which is found near water.) Also just follow links in the wiki to figure stuff out...

Yeah, the shift rightclick for logpile is new, the old versions didn't have it and while it's not the worst thing I hope it changes somehow, for ores you have can only do caseterite, bismuthinite, and I believe sphalerite, anything beyond that requires a forge.

To do the logpiles, you can shift and right click, after that you can right click the logpile to either add or remove logs. Cassiterite, Bismuthinite, and Sphalerite are the only ores you can smelt in the firepit, the rest you need a bloomery. I'd say just keep looking around the wiki for information, otherwise you can ask here, or just try and experiment in a test world or something.
