      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

So my world has begun to freeze over...

I woke up from sleeping and right before my eyes watched the lake in front of my house, as well as all surrounding bodies of water within view distance freeze over completely. At first I thought there was a new feature of seasons but the calendar says Early Spring. Anyone know what's going on? Is it a bug or a feature?

EDIT: The temp was below freezing, oddly enough, despite being early summer it has stayed around 1 degree. My z coordinate is -14000, which is supposedly North, so my seasons shouldn't be opposite. Did I perhaps spawn far enough north for it to be cold year-round?

The temp dropped to or below freezing. Happens periodically in spring.

Hmmm, the temperature section of the wiki had nothing on that. Well that's good then, guess I'll wait until summer.

I'd still be nervous, I've never seen freezing and I have enough trouble growing crops where I am, you might look into moving further south.

your OP said you are NEGATIVE 14k NORTH... you can't be -14k north... it may just be that you are in the southern hemisphere and your seasons are reversed :)

Minus coordinates are north though. 14k is just quite far to the north, it's cold out there. I prefer to settle at about 6-9k from the equator. Additional stuff you'll find at the road there will certainly help.

It'd be awesome to have a way to check the (approximate) temperature without using the debug screen. In TFC's time period there weren't supremely accurate thermometers, so it could simply be like, "Well, damn is it cold out here," or "does my face look like it's melting to you?" :P
