      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.

Terrafirmacraft not working

After installing TFC, I start minecraft and make a new world but it just acts like vanilla minecraft. I'm on mac (if that helps).

Heres what I did:

1. downloaded a minecraft 1.4.2 jar, replaced my 1.4.5 one and made it into a folder and deleted META-INF

2. Installed Forge 6.0.1.354

3. Installed Player API 1.1 for minecraft 1.4.2

4. Downloaded TFC build66 and on my computor it automatically made it a folder when I downloaded, so I right clicked, and compressed it into a .zip

5. I placed the .zip in my mods folder (no other mods) and started minecraft.

Please help if you can thank you.

Try using multimc. I think you messed up putting forge and player API in the minecraft jar file. You don't make it into a folder, you have to actually add those files inside the jar file. Using 7-zip, you select the "open archive" option, then drag and drop the forge and player API files into the 7-zip window. MultiMC will handle it for you so it might be easier that way.

i opened up the folder, selected everything inside and dragged into the minecraft.jar

I think you simply downloaded a corrupt file somehow. Try downloaded again.

The right file should be .zip, no need to zip it yourself.

I just downloaded it, the file is good.

4. Downloaded TFC build66 and on my computor it automatically made it a folder when I downloaded, so I right clicked, and compressed it into a .zip

i opened up the folder, selected everything inside and dragged into the minecraft.jar

Erm I might be misunderstanding, but you can't install everything at once. You have to do it in order... forge -> playerapi -> TFC. To avoid all risk, load MC in between each step.

also, from a clean minecraft.jar, do the following:

install all forge maps into the minecraft.jar (drag and drop like vegas said)

then, install playerAPI (HAS to be in this order) into minecraft.jar,

open it with any form multiMC, profilemanager, you get the gist,

after that works, install TFC, also into the minecraft.jar folder

make sure all versions are fit for 1.4.2 (forge, api, tfc) and your minecraft.jar is also 1.4.2 (if you download a new one its 1.4.4 (or 1.4.5 if its out) so you need to manually download a 1.4.2 file)

if this doesnt work, post whatever error you get next :D

I think you simply downloaded a corrupt file somehow. Try downloaded again.

The right file should be .zip, no need to zip it yourself.

I just downloaded it, the file is good.

Its my computor, it doesnt leve stuff as a zip when it downloads it automatically unarchives it.
