Anyone seen Peat lately?

I've visited a couple dozen swamps in the 60s builds and haven't found any. Is it generating any more?

Yeah, I found it too once, but in a test world I think. Does it still work in the firepit? I want it back...

There's no thing as peat block in NEI inventory. There is peat grass, but when mined or not exposed to sunlight (under a solid block) - it becomes dirt.

I dont know what happened, really.

Peat should be able to be turned into charcoal, to disperse the mountains I have. Yes, it does spawn but only rarely.

You should find it near jungles, theoretiically...But first...find a jungle.

If you're talking about kapok forests, they are freaking everywhere I go. But I haven't seen peat since about beta2 build 20.

Of course finding a jungle doesn't implement that you will find it...it's just the first step.

Last time I saw him was back in b2v40-ish, maybe he had a midlife crisis and moved to Alaska to live with wolves or something. But I miss him to bud, I miss him too.

I visited another 4-5 swamps in creative with B71, still unable to find this stuff. If no one can confirm finding it in any of the recent builds, should it be considered a bug?

For my taste now generation is excessive

In the current build it generetes in swap biomes, if you want it just reset your world or go to unexplored areas.

Oh, and yes. It works on firepit. Dont tested if it works on forge.
