      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Piles of stuff

6 posts in this topic

Is it possible to make piles of stuff on the ground?

Like, something similar to how a fire-pit works, you place x amount of any given object on the ground, it will create a 'pile' of said item. The pile should vary based on the type of item - stones would obviously pile differently than dirt. Throw a stack of stone on the ground, poof, you have a neatly stacked pile of stones in that tile. Too many gems? Toss em in your vault and let them pile up (yes that is referring to http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/2300-gems/). If there isn't room, it wouldn't stack.

Aside from the (amazing) idea of having vaults full of gems and gold, it would add a little more feeling to mines with large piles of cobblestone and dirt along the sides of your mine tracks until they are removed. In forests that have been recently logged, you might see piles of leaves, sticks, and saplings. In the kitchen sink you might see a pile of bowls, the local inn may have a pile of glass bottles (for water of course), and the marketplace would have piles of foodstuffs on the market stall tables.

Just a thought.

Yes definitely suggested searching piles should yield some answers. Although the idea of tossing something on there is new and would be great. Just throw something on a pile and eventually the bounding box would take up a whole cube so things would have to be thrown elsewhere.

I want stuff piles. Lots and lots of stuff piles. Imagine what you could do with them!

Yeah, like.... stuff! and... err... more stuff! of course!

Whatever, sounds (only SOUNDS) simple enough (i have no idea of coding, so i couldn't know...), and useful :3 so yeah, like it.

Even though there was a previous thread saying this same thing... ._.

coding wise, make it a cross between charcoal and log piles. I would imagine that if held only 12 items peer structure it would be relatively underpowered
