      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Hello there, Im jacciee.

I want to ask if someone can explain how to update TFC from 1.4.5 to 1.4.6. This is not only for me, but for everyone who's having trouble with upating TFC.

I just want to join servers again so i can play with other people.

I hope someone can explain it for me.

I just finished updating to MC 1.4.6. / TFC 74.

Here is a list of the steps I took, yours may be different depending on what mods you have installed of course.

Backup old minecraft jar. (In case you would like to downgrade easily)

Delete TFC config files (TFC.cfg and TFCOptions.cfg, found in [AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\config]

Start Minecraft and Force Update in order to download 1.4.6. minecraft.jar

Open minecraft.jar with WinRar

Download Forge 6.5.0.486 (http://files.minecraftforge.net/)

Open Forge 6.5.0.486 and drag all files over to minecraft.jar. Delete any files in /META-INF that begin with "MOJANG!" (This is new)

Download Player API Universal 1.1 (for MC 1.4.6.) (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/738498-146api-player-api/)

Open Player API Universal 1.1 and drag all files over to minecraft.jar

Download Magic Launcher 1.0.0. (for MC 1.4.6.) (http://www.minecraftmine.org/magic-launcher-minecraft/)

Download Rei MiniMap v3.2_06 (for MC 1.4.6.) (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/482147-146-dec22-reis-minimap-v32-06/) Place zip file in [AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods] folder.

Download OptiFine (for MC 1.4.6.) (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249637-146-optifine-hd-a2-fps-boost-hd-textures-aa-af-and-much-more/) Place zip file in [AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods] folder.

Download TFCraft Universal b74 (http://terrafirmacraft.com/download/) Place zip file in [AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods] folder.

If anyone happens to notice a step I forgot to write, please comment.

Why are you using Magic Launcher if you've already placed the files into the jar manually?

lol, yea, good question. I couldn't get things to work without manually installing Forge, now I do it just from habit and because I know it'll work this way. Thanks for commenting, I'm going to take another look at Forge.

I use Magic Launcher also and newer touch the minecraft.jar.
