      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

New Launcher

I just downloaded the new launcher and whenever I try to open it, or run it, it has only 3 files which are META-INF net and org what do i do

Your .jar files are probably registered with some kind of program like WinRAR or 7Zip and not java.

You can try starting it with right-clicking the Launcher.jar -> "Open with..." -> then find javaw.exe in your Program FilesJavajre7bin (if you have v7 installed)

Doesnt the launcher come with a BAT file for starting TFC?

I fixed the .jar problem but now when I try to login in the launcher it just disappears

Hello Alpha. Make sure your minecraft jar in the TFC directory is still 1.5.1. Also, install vanilla minecraft in the default location, I'm not certain but I maybe the TFC launcher checks those files to see if you own minecraft? I had issues myself yesterday after getting the new launcher, and it appears that after I redownloaded vanilla minecraft to "appdata", the launcher worked for me. I also uninstalled an old version of x64 bit java runtime and updated to the latest release as well.

Edit: Nevermind, I just renamed any folders related to minecraft in appdata, and it still works. Strange it seemed like reinstalling vanilla minecraft fixed the problem, but it looks like that was just coincidence. It was probably something else. I had the same problem as you yesterday, but I tried so many different things trying to get it to work, now I'm not sure what exactly fixed it, lol.
