      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Native Copper

On the wiki it says you can smelt it using a firepit, but when I tried, it wouldn't get past Very Hot *** (I think. I forget the actual number of stars.) I waited and it even ate up like 4 logs but wouldn't change. How do I smelt this?

You need a bellows and a certain type of wood (I can't remember which one). Also I believe you also need to be at higher elevation as well. Frankly you would do better to simply make a bloomery than trying to do it in a firepit.

Youre wasting time and effort trying to smelt it with a firepit, it can be done at sea level as was shown in spumwack's letsplay of the TFC pack, but you need dark wood and bellows. (i believe he used hickory) its very time consuming and like gatts205 said, youre much better of making a chisel and a bloomery.

Least to mention: You need 14 stacks of native copper nuggets for the anvil. You will not be able to make copper tools on a stone anvil.

Get lots of hickory and a bellows to smelt copper in a fire pit. It's very time and resource intensive, though.
