      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Can't remove forge block

Hi, is there a way to remove the block left from a forge? I've removed all the walls and such but the center block just hangs there and is apparently indestructable.

I've been trying, and whacking at it for 30 seconds straight seems to do nothing.

I've heard it takes a long time to break. Try like 2 minutes (like breaking stone with your hand).

Alright.

It seems it was breaking very slowly, but since the block is ery dark the crack lines are hard to notice.

The forge block is actually supposed to be like the firepit, in that it is not supposed to be able to be mined and placed elsewhere. The fact that it can currently be mined and placed elsewhere is a bug. If you are just trying to remove the forge entirely, try mining the block underneath it.

well, as far as i know, the bug where you get a forge item have been corrected in hotfix 17

I can confirm this. Sat there for several minutes with a pick and eventually broke it. Removing all the blocks around it did nothing, but I haven't tested that in the latest hotfixes.
