      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Howto ride a horse?!

Hello community,

 

I'm new to terrafirmacraft and by now totally amazed of this mod. But I have a problem riding horses. I found some and brought them to my home with a rope. After that, I tamed them by riding them with a right click. After some attempts the hearts showed off and they were tamed. But now I'm not able to ride them again. Right clicking only shows the gender of the horse but my character won't sit on them. I also crafted a saddle and put it on the horse by shift+right clicking and dragging it into the horse's inventory. But that also doesn't help.

 

What do I do wrong?

You also have to right click the horse with rope made from jute. This consumes the rope and allows you to ride the horse.

Ahhh I tried again... To jump up I had to connect the rope and right click the horse with empty hands. After equipping the saddle, it wasn't rendered properly and I wasn't able to steer.. Saving and opening the world fixed it. Thank you!

How do you get off the horse? :/

 

If you read the message when you get on the horse it tells you to use left shift to dismount...

I find it useful to keep a fence post in my inventory when travelling with a horse.
