      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Just how much do pigs eat?

I'm not sure this is a bug, so untill somebody says it is I won't make a formal report.

 

In short, I have some pigs. I want them to breed, so I've been feeding them grains. My male pig has consumed 7 stacks of grains (Full stacks) and has yet to become full. Just how much do these things eat? It took me days to scavange together that much wheat.

I got 4 sheeps, and they never seem to be satisfied either. :/

Part of why they eat so much is the new familiarity system, so mobs don't breed until they like you enough, and to get them to like you, you need to feed them.

My pigs won't eat at all. I try to feed them some barley grain and I get spammed with ''This animal won't let you do that.''

You feed them by shift right clicking. It seems like you are only supposed to be able to feed them once per day but there seems to be no limit and it doesnt seem to actually make them more familiar, so i wouldnt waste your grain until it is fixed

Ive experianced the same thing with my pigs but not sheep, i started my sheep first so it may be a problem with one of the patches. I've also heard a rumour that pigs dont gain familiarity in 0.79.6 i cant confirm this though.

I stand corrected! It seemed like my sheep were eating as much as i could feed them rather than just eating once a day, so i assumed they had the same problem, but i tried again and they work correctly
