      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Vanilla Bug] Impossible to retrieve a boat

SSP/SMP (Single/MultiPlayer): SSP
Suggested Name:  Impossible to retrieve a boat
Suggested Category: Annoying

Description: Sometimes after I exit the boat, I can't retreive it, can't break it and can't use it. The boat flows some distance and stops like a frozen, I can't move it. To use the boat again, I have to exit the game and enter it again. In my world I have a big ocean and a lot of islands, so the issue is very annoying, it is reproduced approximately 1 out of 5 times I exit the boat.

 

Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: Yes

Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: Yes

If yes, which mods?

  • NEI
  • NEI plugin for TFC
  • FastCraft
  • ReiMinimap-1.7.10-3.6
  • Optifine

If you have Optifine or Cauldron installed, can you still reproduce the bug after uninstalling them? Yes

This is a vanilla bug.

 

Edit: If you want it to happen less often, relog before you get out of the boat, instead of after. When you log back in, you will likely have gone backwards a hundred blocks or so, but that's the location where you actually were, and not where it looked like you were when you logged off.
