      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Silly question maybe.. Indoor grass?

6 posts in this topic

Just wondering if there's any way of doing it so I can 'store' my animals inside a large barn.

I was thinking of a glass roof, but now I read that wont work in another thread.

Will anything work?  How about planks?

Reason being I want to prevent all my animals being sucked up in the next tornado (Weather mod).

I just had a storm at night and the next morning all 15 or so of my animals were gone, strewn about the landscape - even a couple up a tree :D

It was hilarious except I lost one of my 2 sheep I spent 3 hours finding and bringing back to my house (I cheated one back alive lol)

There's no way to get grass to grow indoors. However, the only time you ever really need grass is if your animals are hurt and you want them to regenerate health, or for sheep to grow back their wool. Even though your cows and your pigs will be super duper hungry all the time if they don't have any grass to eat, they won't take any damage. You'll just have to make a pasture somewhere to take them out to eat if they ever get hurt some other way, and you want them to heal.

Ok cool thanks.

The effects not as bad as I thought then.

Was hoping a trapdoor would work since it does for the Forge, but nope :)

Does the weather use TFCs rainfall and temperature or its own?

Does the weather use TFCs rainfall and temperature or its own?

What does that have to do with mobs and grass growing other than the fact the reason he wanted to move his mobs was because of that mod?

Please keep discussion on topic of the actual OP, and do not derail them with random barely-related questions.

I find it a bit annoying when making a house with extended roof. A chiseled block will prevent dirt from turning to grass, so you need to remove the roof if you ever mess with the dirt.

Not exceedly dramatic, though.
