      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Croaking Frogs

Just a quick question, were the croaking frogs removed as an ambient sound or is it something I need to activate in the config files?

They are heard only near fresh water at night.

Specifically it has to be a stationary, non-flowing freshwater source block that has an air block above it, and either a freshwater plant like cattails or a grass block nearby. The light level has to be below 7, and the current temperature must be higher than 2. So if you've lit up the area with torches, you won't hear frogs at night because the light level is too high. Also, make sure you don't have your master game sounds turned down in the vanilla sound options.

I've been using frogs as an alarm clock at night.  I make a little cubbyhole out of logs right next to a pond and I don't even have to leave a window open because when the frogs stop croaking it's time to get up.
