      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

A thread started by someone eles suggested we need more ranks added to post count, that brings me to this suggesting.

A off topic forums, where we can post stuff up and help people get to know more about the tfc forum players...

Make it easy to find people that you can relate to and maybe have a better time with in a server than someone that 2 days later you find out you cant stand that person.

I myself dont play when at work but i like to read forums and posts and in my experience helps the members of the site come a little closer. Posting server events and things of that nature.

The CON is that you have freeposters....easy way to beat that is to make a min limit on how many spaces and letters you have to type. "Little stuff and be posted in chat"

What does everyone eles think?

So the whole freeposter thing. Does that mean like people who buff their post count without adding anything productive?

If that's what you mean, then you could make the posts in the off-topic forums not count towards the profile total, or make them count towards a separate total. That would allow people to see what has been contributed to the TFC sections without being biased by the off-topic forums.

Personally, I don't know if I would use it, but it comes down to whether or not the community wants one. More importantly, of course, is how close the forum's current use is to maximum limits. If you push it over then you can't use the stuff that is actually about this mod obviously.
