Not being able to fins any ores

I have been mining for about 20-30 mins but i have not found a single ore and i made several prospector picks and right clicked all the way down but it only said found nothing of intrest, is this a glitch or are ores just really hard to find (i am new to this mod)

Really hard to find. But usually when you find some, you find a lot in one batch instead of just 4 or 8 blocks like vanilla ores, you might find 50 or more.

Ores are super rare in the curent version,

"dont know if it will stay like that or if he changes it"

But if you know how to use an prospectors pick you migth get lucky.

That you havent found anything yet, doesnt mean its a bug, you migth just have found a bad place to search.

I uses the caves to get materials, that way i dont have to dig a ton of stone,

it is also a good way if you dont want to use ages on strip mining.

Because when you strip mine you use alot of time to remove the stone.

I do think it's the best way of mining. I just dont have the patience to do it.

I can only advice you to try and dig somewhere else and maybe use natural caves to check.

I like to go strip mining if i have music on or is talking to someone over skype at the same time. That way the brainless work dont get so brain less.

It is extremely easy to find ores currently. Just run around and look at any exposed stone areas, you should find something, I've found Cassiterite, Hematite, Native Copper and Native Gold most in less that 1000m of my home mountain without creating a mine.

There was a point that it was a bit rough to find adequate starting ore, but that has been changed.

I find that finding ore is really a question of luck. I've had a start where I had 5 large chests worth of stacks of ore within 200 blocks of the spawn, most in plain sight no less, another start I had to walk 1K away from spawn just to find something to make a chisel and hammer with.

My advise is to Prospect the surface of hills, and to check mountain sides and any surface caves. If you check 1K blocks from spawn in all compass directions you'll find ore using that method eventually.

also look for granite it is were most ores spawn and is good to find at the start, I made a mine all the way down to 50 on the Zed axis Wasn't I smart idea to just pick spawn as my house...
