      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. I am finding the links for this mod are dead. Any direct links I can use?
  2. Chunk tag questions

I am in year two of a world and wild crops are not seeming to generate in chunks I have already visited. While looking at other stuff in NBTExplorer under the Region/.*mca/Chunk/ChunkData, there are two entries that I am not sure what they represent. One is cropInfestation, the other is lastSpringGen. What are these variables represent? I pulled up the code on GitHub and the lack of comments make it hard to figure out
  3. Found it..."To switch the delay, Right Click on the Steam Boiler block with any hammer in hand."
  4. Ok here are two logs from earlier today, the first is a client error log, the second is a server error log...I got both. And because computers are weird I created a new clean world to test all these mods and the game worked just fine. Went back to my playing world, no problems.
  5. How do you change the automatic bellows rate?
  6. Does this work with 79.29? I tried to add to my terrafirmacraft but if drying mat, evaporation, galena, limit, or tucker bag are enabled the game crashes. Alloy calculator seems to be fine, as well as the additions. Something does cause the game to crash when I go to page two of the creative mode item page. If you do think of making another update with the evaporation pan, maybe we could place it over a fire pit or forge to boil water to cause faster evaporation.
  7. 46c Experimentation: Ores

The download links no longer work. Anyone have an updated yaml file?
  8. [Intentional] Leveling not effecting hunger capacity?

http://wiki.terrafirmacraft.com/The_Player: Hunger BarInstead of haunches of food, hunger is represented with a green-colored bar. When the player first spawns, they have a stomach capacity of 24 oz. This value increases and decreases depending on the player's experience levels. Experience Bar The experience system represents life experience, and so each level increases a player's maximum health, hunger and thirst, allowing them to take more hits, and survive longer without eating or drinking.
  9. TFC Version #:0.79.16 Forge Version #:7.10.85.1291 SSP/SMP (SinglePlayer/MultiPlayer): SSP Description: I used the /xp command to bump up my level really high (24971). Thirst has defiantly increased (takes half a day just to drink enough water to not walk slow), but 2 sandwiches when food bar is 0 causes you to be full and I still seem to lose hunger fast. TO help diagnose this, is there a way to see what my max hunger and current hunger is? Have you deleted your config files or are using default configs and are still able to reproduce this bug? (Yes/No): Yep Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed? (Yes/No): If yes, which mods? Yes If you have Optifine or Cauldron installed, can you still reproduce the bug after uninstalling them? (Yes/No): Not installed
  10. [Solved] Lamp rendering problems

    Ok its working fine, thanks.
  11. [Solved] Lamp rendering problems

TFC Version #:0.79.16 Forge Version #:7.10.85.1291 SSP/SMP (SinglePlayer/MultiPlayer): SSP Description: I was using a new map to test out the lamps. It was when the lamp was created when it crashed. When I reload the game the lamp is created and still on the anvil. Have you deleted your config files or are using default configs and are still able to reproduce this bug? (Yes/No): Yep Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed? (Yes/No): If yes, which mods? Yes, Liteloader is installed with Autofish, voxelmap, which are currently not working with this update If you have Optifine or Cauldron installed, can you still reproduce the bug after uninstalling them? 12. traisjames, 26, just want to play with other people...TFC gets a little boring after a while.
  13. I just went thru an entire 160oz pork chop trying to get two wolves I have previously breed and keep sitting in my house to breed again now that a pup has been born, and failed. They chase eachother and snuggle but no pregnancy. Also my wolves have stopped gaining in familiarity at about 35%. Is that normal? Can only pups make it to 100%?
  14. Question about food preservation and beyond

At least until after you make power. You 8 thin pieces of wood in a circle around a wood wheel, which is then connected to a long stick*, with someMagnetite that was melted then cooled very quickly to make it retain a magnetic field from the planet, then take lots of copper, melt it, form it into a rod with some drawing, then squeeze or extrude it thru stone with a hole to make it thin, reheat to restrength, and repeat until its thin. Then wrap around a hollow wheel a few hundred times, and stick that around the magnetite magnet, and wala! Power! Now you just need to build a compressor, tubing, radiator, and a pump. Then we can power some lights, fans to power the forge and cool the house, a microwave, tv, a computer running minecraft, etc. Hmm...weird cryptographic messages coming over an old vacuum tube radio from an old minecraft town from far away near the edge of the map...? Of course if I wanted to keep stuff cool without power I would make something like copper chest kept under running water. Open it to get food, keep it closed and the flowing water takes the heat away. Same idea with hot spring water or tubing near lava to make a stove. *Also be used for a grain mill
  15. If you want to edit the wiki.

If you add me (traisjames), I just figured out how to use the quiver and took some screen shots. If possible can I write an article and someone edit it for grammar and format before it goes up? (I was Travis Edrington on here but forgot all login information (doesn't help when you have 9 email addresses).
  16. Question about food preservation and beyond

Yea thats why I mentioned it is the warming that occurs because of the math. (I am Travis Edrington, just forgot my login and thought my account disappeared so created a new one)
  17. Chiseled Ice Blocks ( Refrigeration? )

And of course chopped ice cools faster but not as long as a solid block of ice (surface area thing).
  18. In RL you also have to dry the wood to make it burn hotter and better. I know people who dry wood for 3 years before using it. Maybe firewood and logs should have a durability/damage tracking that when the wood drys it goes up in durability so it cooks longer and better, and when it is rained on the durability goes down. So if you want to use firewood that cooks hotter (and faster with it being dryer and more surface area), you need it to dry it with cover and in a warm area (deserts better than rainforest). Unfortunately you can't fuel a fire using sticks...I have like 8 stacks of sticks I would love to burn.
  19. Question about food preservation and beyond

    When I do -30-(-30*.25) I get -22.5
