      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. TFC1 1.12+ port

I do hope this revival brings back the modders of old (and new). The mods created for TFCwere so good and most complimented the idea of TFC. The TFC community was such a great one and it is a shame that most (including me) moved on. It will be good to be back in a great community again.
  2. TFC1 1.12+ port

I hope so. It has been a while since I used java, so I am hoping to get back into it all.
  3. TFC1 1.12+ port

Dries007 and Bunsan, Thank you for reviving this wonderful mod. I have never ever enjoyed playing minecraft as much as I did with TerraFirmaCraft. It was also this mod that got me interested in modding minecraft, event though I sucked at it! I look forward to again enjoying TFC in the newer 1.12 minecraft and also re-writing my Udary mod for this new version. The future does indeed look bright.
  4. Silver from Galena Extraction After reading a forum post from user Udarytitled 'A use for Galena', he mentions a way to extract silver from the currently unused ore Galena. As I had never developed a mod before and I love playing TFC, I thought it a good idea to try a create a mod outlining the process Udary mentioned. After a little research on the subject I have created a mod that allows the user to extract Silver from Galena. The process is expensive in terms of the amount of silver returned from the Galena ore, but I did not want this extraction process to become the main source of silver. It was designed as a stop gap until a more viable source of Silver was found. Some ores are not used until later stages of TFC and I will be the first to admit that after investing a lot of time in a world, only to find some ores impossible to find can be frustrating. Nickel from Limonite Extraction In my current world I was unable to find two ores, Silver andGarnierite. I had already solved the problem of Silver, so now I needed a way to get Nickel. After a little research, I found that Nickel is present in Limonite. So working on a similar method as the Galena Extraction, I created a Nickel from Limonite extraction process. Again this process is expensive in terms of the amount of nickel returned from the Limonite ore. This was not designed to replace the main ore mining, but provide a way to get small amounts of nickel to move forward. Tucker Bag A new item called Tucker Bag that allows players to capture and release animals from one location to another. 5. ciekma, are you able to provide me with instruction on how you created a bronze rod? 1. I have tried using a vessel with bronze to fill a rod mod - unsuccessful 2. I have tried heating an unshaped ingot mold of bronze to liquid and then inserting a rod mold - unsuccessful. These are the only ways I know how it could happen.
  6. ciekma, what do you have in mind? It will give me an idea what sort of change you want made, so I can adapt the code.
  7. ciekma,I have just released a new version (33) that should fix the issue you have with the alloy calculator.
  8. New version released (0.2.33) that is compatible withTFC0.79.29. It containsa bug fix for the alloy calculator where it did not recognise higher tier alloys. As always, enjoy.
  9. It is not intended, so it must be a bug. I will have a look and see what I can find. The calculator reads from the metals and alloys list, so it should have found it. I will do some testing and see if I can find out why.
  10. Sevi, yes I believe you can. This is not something I control, but TFC. All the drying mat does it allow you to dry fruits and vegetables. If you place dried meat into a barrel of vinegar it will start pickling. So too, if you put in dried fruits or vegetables.
  11. New version released (0.2.32) that is compatible withTFC0.79.29. It only contain minor changes, will be working on getting some of the reported bugs fixed in the near future. As always, enjoy.
  12. Sayreg, are you able to provide me with a list of the mods you are using? Also are you able to provide me with a step by step to reproduce it and I will take a look?
  13. Sayreg, I am not sure why you are logging this in my thread. If you updated TFC and the dirt blocks are not working anymore, then it is a TFC bug, not my mod.
  14. traisjames, I am not sure what your first crash, does it happen all the time? does it happen if you remove my mod? The second crash, have you renamed my mod file at all?
  15. Teagan75, can you provide me with the exact amounts of which ores you are adding to the alloy calc, I would like to get this fixed.
  16. wormzjl, the knife crafting mechanic is the default TFC one. Are you able to reproduce the duping? Also, are you single player, multiplayer, survival or creative mode?
  17. Hi guys, sorry for the long absence. I will admit I stopped playing TFC and moved on to other games and also real life has been hectic over the past year and a half. I will go through the thread and see if I can address some of the issues that you are having with the mod. I am trying to get my development environment back up and running, long time since using java and eclipse, so I feel like a noob again. I will also build the new mod against the current TFC version. Stay turned, hope to have something to your all soon. Bletch
  18. 1. I am creating an option to disable the reinforced tucker bag. This option will stop the crafting of the reinforced tucker bag and the Wrought Iron Buckle. 2. I am adding an evaporation recipe for Hot Spring water. It will evaporate into fertilizer (Sylvite is crushed in the Quern to make fertilizer). As there is no current tool for picking up Hot Spring water, I am creating a Ceramic Bucket made by Knapping Fire Clay. This ceramic bucket can hold Fresh Water, Salt Water and Hot Spring Water only. I have added an option for enable/disable the Hot Spring water evaporation. If turned off, then the ceramic bucket is also removed. I am just finalising my testing and it should be available soon.
  19. The only problem is that Hot Spring Water cannot be picked up and so could not be transported to the evaporation pan. The barrel, the buckets etc do not allow pickup of How Spring Water, only Fresh and Sea Water. I would need to create a special container that could pickup the Hot Water.
  20. Hey ciekma, I have tried to keep this mod believable, but sometimes that is hard to achieve. I myself understand the Tucker Bag is OP. I mean really, picking up an adulthorse in a bag and putting it on your back The reason the tucker bag originally came about was to move wild sheep. Whenever I spawned a new TFC world, sheep were always hard to find and trying to get them back home was a real pain. I never had the same trouble with any other animal, just sheep. I hate the whole idea that ropes can break when leading animals around and they can fall into ravines and die. So after consideration, I created the tucker bag. In my first attempt it only picked up sheep and was modelled on an oldFolk Song here in Australia (Waltzing Matilda). The down side to the tucker bag is that you are only able to transport one animal at a time, unlike the ropes. The upside is that you can transport an animal in safety. I then extended it to include the main domesticated animals (Pig, Sheep, Chicken, Horse and Cow) and then I introduced a reinforced tucker bag that would carry the adults and leave the baby animals for the original tucker bag. After a request from some of the forums users, I finally extended it to capture the other passive animals (Bear, Pheasant, Deer and Wolf). Each of the animals can be turned on/off in the config file. Also to balance it out, each time an animal is released, the tucker bag takes damage. So the bags do not last forever, The damage values are hard set, they are not configurable and the values can be seen in the Tucker Bag guide. If you find the tucker bag OP and do not wish it in the game, you can always turn off the option. Bletch
  21. Goblin, Thank you for the information, I have notforgottenabout you, I am trying very hard to reproduce the bug. I just need some time. Thanks
  22. New version released (0.2.30) that is compatible withTFC 0.79.26 & 0.79.27. (BugFix) Fixed the bug that prevented the Ore Cooker from cooking Limonite Ore. As always, enjoy.
