      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. TFC does indeed replace the vanilla water block with its own.

    Go here in the vanilla code : at net.minecraft.block.BlockFluid.func_94424_b(BlockFluid.java:653)

    and you can see the offending method:

    @SideOnly(Side.CLIENT)

    public static Icon func_94424_b(String par0Str)

    {

    return par0Str == "water" ? Block.waterMoving.theIcon[0] : (par0Str == "water_flow" ? Block.waterMoving.theIcon[1] : (par0Str == "lava" ? Block.lavaMoving.theIcon[0] : (par0Str == "lava_flow" ? Block.lavaMoving.theIcon[1] : null)));

    }

    You'll probably have to modify TFC or make a mod with a custom water block class that doesn't crash either BC or TFC.

  2. Roanoke server also features more variable ore generation that you won't find on any other TFC server. Digging straight lines at Y60 on Roanoke won't get you as far, our ore is distributed in the oreless voids that vanilla TFC misses.

    Remember surface ore? We have it. It can be under the dirt, in the hills or the exposed rocks of the mountains. We have a fresh B76 world that is less than a week old, everyone is just getting started, hope to see some more new names.

  3. HF10: Shift clicking items into an empty forge in quick succession will result in more itemstack "move" events than clicks. Shift click three times and you might see 5-6 items being moved into the forge's slots (including the slots on the right side).

    HF10: I made a perfect bismuth bronze pickaxe head on a bismuth bronze anvil and came back a short time later to make another pickaxe head. When I shift clicked a new bismuth bronze ingot into the anvil it automatically produced a perfect bismuth bronze pickaxe head, no working the ingot required.

  4. HF10: Pro pick will intermittently report "Found a very large sample of", but won't specify what.

    Edit: It may have been for a deposit of Lapis Lazuli. Also the Lapis was generated in Limestone for some reason, no marble anywhere nearby.

  5. In HF7/SMP, I made a perfect Tin Pro Pick. When I use the pro pick, it shows damage, then on next use it repairs itself back to perfect. On continued use it keeps repairing itself, so what I seem to have is a never-ending tin pro pick.

  6. I had that NullPointerException in WorldGenCaveDecor.generate in one of the earlier hot fixes as well.

    In HF5, if you build a nether portal at sea level (and probably higher), the portal in the nether will spawn above the nether's bedrock roof. The good news is that the nether is working again. =)

  7. ok, May I get my brother's old account on the whitelist?

    he doesn't play the game anymore, but I want a fresh start and to test to see if the lag I got was from something in my account/posession/player

    IGN:driragon

    This is samzataru right? If you are lagging hard it's because of the pigs in Oolacile. Anyone who is parked in Oolacile is unable to stay in the game for longer than an instant, and gets kicked immediately. It's being worked on I believe.

  8. Cutting down sequoia trees intermittently crashes Roanoke server, running Build 75, as well. It doesn't happen every time, but often enough that the admins have warned people to avoid cutting them down.

    By chance were your sequoias generated over an ocean, or have air gaps underneath them? We have some strange sequoias that float over grass and air blocks, sometimes over water blocks near ocean islands.

  9. So im having issues installing all the mods, can someone give me the lowdown? FML refuses to work, and all it says is i have an error and it gave me the crash report in some weird format that my computer refuses to read...

    Do i manually install the API into the jar also? or does it go into the coremods area?

    Forge and Player API must be installed into the jar. The rest go into the mods folder.

  10. Hey Bob, ive been trying to get back on the sever after my lengthy hiatus, but I'm having trouble with TrainCraft. On trying to connect with the sever, it either says i dont have it (which i do), or that there is ID mismacthes, any solutions?

    edit: ive fixed the trainCraft problem, the only ID mismacth i now get is with the punt.

    Here you go:

    I:puntID=26201

    This really belongs in the OP, as the mismatch occurs so often.

  11. I made a simple market near RRD. The area is nice and flat and the market can be expanded with very little work. Feel free to add your trade booth to mine.

    BTW - Those archer guards near RRD are slowly destroying RRD by attacking creepers and getting the place blown up. When I was working on the market I heard a few explosions from that happening. The arrows are too weak to kill the creepers.

  12. Here are a few pictures I took while mapping the country side in the last week or so:

    If you wait here long enough, all kinds of mobs start to float up from underneath. The picture doesn't do it justice, you can find it at 17444, -7767.

  13. Can you tell which block is magnetite and which is just regular andesite?

    This lapis lazuli deposit keeps going. There's a coal deposit peeking out at the back too.

  14. The screen shot contest.

    I would've participated but the server message said it was ending Feb 19, so I thought there was lots of time still. Lotanis confirmed seeing this date on the server message as well. =(

  15. There is no way to downgrade to 1.4.6 from 1.4.7 because for whatever reason noone is supplying that base version.

    You can actually download every version of Minecraft directly from Mojang, here's the 1.4.6 client link:
