      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Respawn with low health, same nutrients

I kept my skills when I died. Only lost my levels of xp which do affect your max health I thought.
  2. Fertilizer Question

I have my year length set to 192 days. I am around 11k z coordinate. I know I planted things too late because of the time it took me to find them. But the nutrients drained in just a month or so. I was just hoping the fertilizer would allow some of them to finish. Most of them did not and I ended up picking everything after a cold night that made a few turn into seeds on the ground. I do see the line in the yellow box now around the edge. Is that the nutrient level it is showing dropping? I just wasn't sure if something was wrong since the main 3 nutrients never went back up. It makes sense now. Thanx. As for fertilizer, I didn't fertilize until I had gotten enough skill to see the nutrient levels. By then, they had all about run out on the main one each plant uses. Is it better to fertilize at the beginning before they deplete the nutrients? or is it ok to do it after they have dropped? As for the temp, i think the average biome temp reads around 10 degrees. It actually just dropped below 10 in late autumn for the 1st time. It was nearing 30 degrees in mid summer.
  3. Fertilizer Question

I found fertilizer in mid summer of my 1st year and decided to use it on my crops in hopes they would mature before winter. I know some of them were planted late because of when I found them and thought it might speed up the process since they showed as low in one category. After fertilizing, it doesn't show the missing nutrient being replaced, it just gets a yellow box under the 3 bars of nutrients. I was just wondering if someone could explain this to me. I was also wondering if the fertilizer really does anything. The nutrients are gone in such a short time and plants spend the majority of their time with one bar at almost 0. I saw no difference in the ones I fertilized and the ones I didn't after 3 months of growth. None of them matured before winter. Either way, here's what it showed after I use it. Could someone please explain the image to me?
  4. We dig up 3k+ year old pottery regularly in the real world and can even still make out markings and glaze on it, but somehow in game we can't eat a single meal without destroying a bowl? Would be nice if they worked more like ingot molds or jugs where they only had a chance to break. 100% loss doesn't make much sense.
  5. [Solved] I don't understand the mortar recipe

Have you seen how much you get from a full barrel? Pretty sure I won't need any for a very long time. I removed several stacks and barely drained the barrel. I prefer the new method. No making 16 at a time with a single bucket of water.
  6. Some observations of how people play

I'm on 79.7. NEI shows no recipe for glass bottles and 3 glass makes vanilla ones which won't fill from a barrel. I've made vodka and the bottles won't fill from it. Haven't figured out how to make the TFC ones. On a side note, is vodka supposed to able to make vinegar or is it only a certain alchohol? because my vodka barrel has been sealed for days and is still vodka. The barrel also lists no output when I seal it.
  7. Where have all the berries gone?

I've had no issues. I have Bunchberry, Blackberry, Blueberry, Gooseberry, Elderberry, Snowberry, Strawberry, and Cranberry. I spawned around 11500 and have explored East and West at that lattitude. Sure wish I realized Cranberries were on peat. I have found 9 so far in a few different spots and didn't know about the Peat...something I have never found...ugh Fruit trees have been hard to come by that far north, only found 1 peach and 1 cherry so far in ALOT of exploring. I have made my year twice as long as the default and am just in my 1st Autumn, so I haven't been in this world that long.
  8. [Solved] Question about charcoal pits...

I dug out a hole in the ground and just made the roof of bricks. I dug steps down to the floor level on the side and just used dirt to cover that spot. That way nothing collapses when the firepit is done. You can tell when it is done when the smoke particles stop. Some people were having issues with the collapsing blocks destroying some of the charcoal. It also makes it easier to refill/relight since I only need to break and replace the center roof block when starting a new charcoal run.
  9. [Solved] Spawning underwater and picking bell peppers

I'm sorry I deleted the world now. I tried about 20 before I got a good one. Most were either islands or desolate biomes without a tree in sight. One in those 20 actually spawned me in the middle of an ocean with no land in sight in any direction. I know that doesn't help you fix it, but it is still happening in 79.5 or 79.6. I just can't remeber if it was before or after I updated form .5 to .6 cus it was the same night. Wish I could be more help.
  10. [Solved] 79.6 Mysterious Debris

I have had this happen when I picked up a stone that had been broken naturally by collapsing ground as I explored. It only seems to happen if they are broken the environment. Using WAILA and it shows all sticks and rocks on the ground before you break them as debris so it seems like they aren't registering as being broken if you don't so it.
  11. How far did you get in TFC build 79?

World gen is kinda odd in this version. I tried close to 20 random worlds before I found a good one. I was either on islands with nothing but ocean for days or in a dry climate with no trees for days. One world I even spawned in the middle of an ocean with no land in sight.
  12. [Intentional][79.4] Sluices create fresh-water tiles

Yeah found more in another world and realized they were hot springs. What exactly is a water fissure? The tubes that run vertically to deep down in the Y level? And thanx for the answer on the sluices. Because the WIKI says that, I wasn't sure. I figure the mechanics are different now from what I read in the changelogs, but wasn't sure if the basic setup was the same.
  13. [Intentional][79.4] Sluices create fresh-water tiles

Um, I wish I would have saved the world. I had small pools of water generating in mountain tops. As for the sluice, I never played when it was implemented in the past. Does it work like the way the wiki shows it?
  14. Shelf in plank.

By your logic, Forge itself is a hack because it allows modification of the base code of MC. Sadly without it, most of the mods we all love would not exist.
  15. Shelf in plank.

I don't code so I have no idea how much is involved. I was simply pointing out that it is possible. Personally, I'd rather you guys spend your time on content, like you already do, than wasting time on an annoying little quirk that has always been a part of MC.
