ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -

I am pretty sure sequoia is a type of redwood. If it isn't, it pretty much functions as one. (I mean, have you seen the size of those things?) Also, does 360 days sound like a good amount of days for the baseline/average for trees to grow?

The trunk should also get larger , and thicker as the tree gets older.

How are you making these textures? I would be interested to know how these kinds of high-res textures are made. I hope it is not like LB's Photorealism where it totally rips off Google Images. (i mean, have you seen the pumpkin texture?) [and yes I do know this is an LB Photorealism addon] -

I see. I was guessing that this would be a "built from the ground up" kind of thing like my cubic chunks idea, but then again, TFC itself is a "built from the ground up" sort of thing. Also Eloraam, the creator of Redpower2 had apparently tried this and failed, but I am just saying, this would bring a lot to TFC.

I am thinking that it would have to make a lot of changes to the files. To be reasonable, it would also have to make changes to fog, rendering, and possibly lighting. I don't know much about Java, so someone who does, please correct me if I am wrong. But I'm pretty sure Forge *could* do it.
