ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -
This forum is now READ ONLY! 01/20/2020
As of this post and forever into the future this forum has been put into READ ONLY MODE. There will be no new posts! A replacement is coming SoonTM . If you wish to stay up-to-date on whats going on or post your content. Please use the Discord or Sub-Reddit until the new forums are running.
Any questions or comments can be directed to Claycorp on either platform.

I have trees that I would like to submit, but the file size is too big. Any suggestions?

If you compile it, could you put up a download? Never mind, i hadn't read all of the posts.

North Korea seems a little unnecessary. Evacuate the people before you bomb a nation, first. I've written the progra-all of a sudden: pineapples-!

Spaceships. Why didn't the cow anti-matter through the road?

Let them. Bananas are heartless creatures. And they taste nasty. I have all the Star Wars songs drilled into my head! How can I ensure they stay there forever?

I don't know how to compile Java, so can someone compile it? If you do, all of us will be able to play it(all of us being ones that can't compile Java). No hard feelings if somebody doesn't, but if you do, thanks ahead of time.

That's a good idea. Especially since crops in hotter areas are harder to destroy or ruin. That might be as much trouble as flood, though.

Have you read, understood, and followed all of the rules listed in large text at the top of the suggestions forum?(Yes/No):Yes Answering "no" to the above question will result in your post being deleted. I would like to see things like droughts or floods in TFC2 that affect the plants and trees negatively. For instance, something like trees and plants dying during droughts and/or floods that wash away crops and grass. Thanks for the feedback in advance.

I see the problems with floods and droughts. I really like what Bioxx has implemented for the weather though, and that will probably be better in some aspects. Thanks for the feedback.

I like the ideas you suggested, especially irrigation. And I understand the problem of gaps and technicalities in floods and will not be disappointed if they aren't added. A simpler idea for floods could just be changed textures and effects to the environment. Like wood could have a drowned texture that affects the look of your house. That also adds room for sinkholes. They could happen in wet ground with some air underneath, and the likelihood of it happening could depend on how far the air pockets are under the surface. And for wood, parts of your house might collapse due to floods or just extremely wet conditions. And droughts would definitely leave room for water conservation techniques.

Have you read, understood, and followed all of the rules listed in large text at the top of the suggestions forum?(Yes/No):Yes Answering "no" to the above question will result in your post being deleted. I have a really complex idea for forests/biomes for the new edition of TFCraft. In actual forests, the amount of shrubbery and foliage on the ground often depends on the concentration of the trees and the temperature and rainfall of the area. Could there be new plants and bushes to fit in with forests following the same rules? I don't really know that much about Java, but is there a way to make certain plants or bushes grow in only certain light levels? There could be grass color changes in winter/fall, and have dead leaf textures that appear on the ground (similar to the minecart rails) that could be harvested and crafted with sticks or something to make some sort of block or slab to be used in early shelters. And there can be shorter grass or tiny plants that grow in denser forests, and for really dense forests, have the dead leaves all along the forest floor with tiny plants, and have small bushes and such. And there could be different types of grass/ferns to grow in different environments, with varying heights and sizes, that could maybe drop different types of thatch with certain characteristics. And for some trees, probably all but the taller ones, you could have trunks and branches the size the fruit trees and make the fruit tree trunks even smaller, and then when winter rolls around, the leaves could "fall off" and litter the floor, until spring when little leaf buds can fill the trees. I don't know how all the extra items would run on lower end computers, though. In advance, thanks for reading.

I hadn't thought about epiphytes. That would be really cool, especially in jungle areas.

Have you read, understood, and followed all of the rules listed in large text at the top of the support forum? (Yes/No):Yes Answering "no" to the above question will result in your post being deleted. TFC Version #:79.26.881 Forge Version #:10.13.4.1481 Please note that an actual number must be provided for both of the above fields. Simply saying "current" or "latest" will result in your post being locked, due to the fact that in a large number of cases, users who say they are using the "latest" or "current" version are actually using an outdated version. SSP/SMP (SinglePlayer/MultiPlayer):Singleplayer (Haven't tried multiplayer) Have you deleted your config files or are using default configs and are still able to reproduce this bug? (Yes/No):No, but I don't know where the config files are located If you answered no to the above question, delete all 3 TFC config files (TFCCrafting, TFCConfig, TFCOre), do NOT edit or add to any of the files, and try to reproduce the bug. This question is here because many bugs are caused by mistakes in config files. If you are unable to delete your edited config files, please provide a list of the config options you have changed. Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed? (Yes/No):Yes If yes, which mods? NEI TFC NEI Plugin CodeChicken Core Fastcraft Rei's Minimap If you have Optifine or Cauldron installed, can you still reproduce the bug after uninstalling them? (Yes/No):Not Installed If you answered no to the above question, uninstall Optifine/Cauldron and try to reproduce the bug. Both Optifine and Cauldron edit the base classes of forge that TFC uses. Because of this, we cannot officially support any issues that happen only when these mods are installed. In the majority of cases, TFC is not causing the bug; Optifine/Cauldron is and TFC can do nothing to fix it. All bug reports should have an answer of "Yes" to this question. If you refuse to uninstall Optifine/Cauldron, and cannot reproduce the bug when the mods are not installed, do not bother making a bug report, as it will be locked and ignored. Description: All the leaves of all the trees, including the conifers, appear dead, and the grass appears dryer too. This happened on the first of early spring, after I had left the world and came back because of a pig glitching through the floor. It hasn't changed, even though the temperature has risen to 4.27 C, and it snowed and rained several times. Even the natural trees and fruit trees had been affected, and all that I've explored has also had the dead leaves. Is this a normal thing to happen in spring? In advance, thanks for the help. UPDATE: The trees turned green as soon as summer started.
