      Server Move   09/13/2018

      I (Dries007) have recently taken over as main developer and server admin. This involved moving servers to reduce cost. It's likely there will be some more downtime in the future but most  things should be sorted by now. This forum is in dire need of replacement as the software is quite old and can't be easily updated. If you wish to discuss or stay updated, join our discord: The forum will remain available to read, but will be locked in the future, when a new system is setup.       ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord ( is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Beyond Progression

    Sounds actually pretty exciting I'm sure once we hit 1.0 in about 50 years it'll be great! Seriously though, its quite cool and if they could do a kickstarter for it to get more devs in, I'm sure the support would be mental. I don't, but Urist does.

    The original game captivated my friends and me for quite a while, but what endet it quite abruptly when we all reached the realisation that with all the things you can create in excitingly intricate ways- there is nothing to do with it. Nothing to explore, nothing to experience beyond progression, no adventure beyond finding resources, not even survival, as its way too easy to satisfy the needs. I would love to experience obstacles like acquiring key ingredients from randomly placed dungeons/encounters. Maybe even a real threat/opposition in game, something that attacks your settlement in intervals. Stuff like this could make the entire experience more exciting and the possibilities are endless.

    I've been enjoying the intricacy of the original mod and had many friends playing this mod as well, so I'm very curious how the new mod will turn out with it's from-scratch approach. What I've been wondering is- will 2.x will have a new approach on survival itself? From 1.x I felt the challange lied in progress and detail. Survival was only an issue in the first few hours of gameplay.

    Yea I have braided string.. the thing is, I want to make only rope without the anchor because Rusticam Melius mod seems to use it as a leash for animals.
