      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  3. HeyTherighthon, I started working on a similar project, but instead of new recipes, I am using Chisel 2 to change bewteen blocs. I only worked on wood items for now and the texture pack i'm building is 32x, but it can also be done for 16x. If you want, we could join forces and only make one addon instead of having two compeeting projects. I am hosting my code on github so you can freely contribute, and if you want we can use this post in the forum to promote the new version. https://github.com/aliceingame/TerraFirmaChisel I do not plan to release until I have more blocks added, but for now I have one new variation of all the planks (tested and working with chisel 2). Let me know if you are interested. Edit : as this addon does not require TFC api, it work just fine in 79.16+

    Inspired by the config created by Therighthon to add new custom blocks variants, I am wondering if some people would be willing to help creating a real addon to add new blocks variations. My idea would be to add new variations to smooth stones, stone bricks, planks and door, and switch between them using Chisel 2. Right now, there is two issues to do it, CustomItems does not allow the creation of new doors (at least in the actual version), and there is no way that I know to add new group of items to chisel 2. The idea would be to create a bunch of new blocks (if possible that can be chiseled using the TFC chisel), and a way to change between them. I can help with the texture and naming the items int the .lang file. If anybody is interested to help.

    Newest version fixed my game crashing when viewing recipe in NEI. However, all stored foo disappeared. You might want to remove the food from the storage before updating.

    plants from plant mega pack do not need tilled soil, they are planted on the grass. It work pretty well. Of course you might want to add custom recipe. However, a mod like MedicCraft do not work, as the plant to not seems to spawn and can only be planted on vanilla tilled soil. However, with custom recipe, the regen III that the bandage gives is good. Pams Harvestcraft it too oriented toward food to work with tfc.
  11. There is a lot of new addon, but maybe not compatibility ones. The problem with any addon is that their authors might loose interest and the code is not public, so it's the end of the addon, not of TFC. Some packs added compatibility using minetweaker, so it's not that hard to make it work.

    It's sad, but ore generation is not seed dependent. Regenerate the world using the same seed and the vein will be at a different place.

    the metal sheet use the space of a block, but is only covering a layer of the face where you put it. so if you have a metal plate, then you can not put dirt in the same space, so you end up with a gap between the dirt and the wall where you putted the metal sheet.

    putting metal plating underground.... then leaving a large air gap ? not sure it's a good idea. On my side I would suggest to make it impossible to store grain in cellar shelf, an make a silo structure, like a 3x3x3 block that must be supported on legs, and it could only store grain.
  15. This is extremely interesting, especially for an addon that is not properly said a mod. Really nice job. useless mineral blocks would also be a nice addition, there used to be a jet block in extrafirmacraft. I am sure that there is many decorative blocks that could be added. If I have ideas or textures to propose, i'll let you know.

    pickeling and alcool are already in tfc. I don't care if putting food in the barrels do not give bonus, but it would be nice if they could at least be placed without breaking the validity of the cellar. For example, i want to put barrels of alcool along the food in the cellar, then it would work. Adding a cellar barrel that can only store and not process is also a valid possibility.

    just check the post over, he said that it is not changing the decay rate but the temperature, and as we should all know, decay rate is slower at low temperature.

    actually, there is not much waste in calamari. you remove the inside and the rest is good to eat. However, the calamari you eat are rather small. However i agree that the the trouble from killing the squid is not worth the amount of meat you get
