as long as you have the base game down.. I think at this rate the modders might take over. but over all, minecraft is at the end of its life as a whole, and personally a release of TFC2 would be great. I just don't know how much traction it will regain. I stop in every month and lurk all of like the 2 new post and to see if TFC2 has become a thing yet.

What will you be doing on the server?: I wont be playing everyday, but ill be active enough to interact with other players.. also I'll be building a castle over top of an island if I could. my favorite rock is limestone...  edit; the mod packs look like a fun play too.

well since there is planned magic in the game, maybe a potion or of the likes that give you breath for like 10 minutes... 

have you ever used a stone adze without a handle? you should give it a go... lemme know how your wrist feel. and what your knuckles look like. 

Tallow. beeswax. pine resin. any sort of oil from plant extracts, and of course alcohol. all suitable for lamps and or candles. I think the base ideal is there, how we get there is a different story. and of course, remember we can just trap fairy's in jars and use them as light sources too.

seems like a good ideal, but locks started originally at bronze/brass. [yes you can make bronze springs believe or not.. not as 'good' as steel but it works] 

but I miss the older world gens where small above ground style caves would spawn, those were always great on MP for hiding your chest away from your 'home' location. and most of the time if someone found one, it would because they are cheaty mc cheaters. 

smithing is too, one of those things where some players want TONS OF depth. = more time before we get a game + stable releases. and while others find a simpler system okay, to allow other systems to get some love. ironically enough cooking was getting some love in TFC1, but DAT UPDATE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING. soon followed.

To be honest... how often does a player in TFC one ever share the perfect recipes for their smithing adventures? and if they even did, it really doesn't effect the multiplayer game play for others. I think smithing over all is OP because its valuable in terms of items it produces, leaves a lot of other 'crafts' just being kinda 'meh' anyone can do it. I've been on servers, where I've had a field of 130 olive trees, that I grew from a single tree. Despite olives being the most valuable crop in TFC1. they were on the same level/scale as iron tools pretty much. steel if most of the players had a blast furnace already made up, and it was cheap/quicker then iron. 

while I do see where you're coming from and your points, I just personally believe there's other aspects of TFC2 that need to be focused on more so, then the smithing system. we also don't know if bioxx has gotten to said system yet, and if he has if its changed/different from the original system. 

I think on islands, banana fronds are used more then coconut when available. 

you didn't point out that coconut 'water' but coconuts got what plants crave. it's got electrolytes.

While, it may not be added right away or at all.. A suggestion as far as getting slight variables in rock types. is have different rock types, "spawned" like ores, inside appropriate rock types of course these areas wont have ores spawning in them, and would take away some of the ore spawning zones possibly making it more limited.. THAT or have some noise added among rock types. allowing rock types of similar types, such as the old metamorphic stones kinda spawn together with a noise type generation. this would still allow ores of certain types to spawn in an area, while giving a variable in the bedrock.

I really hope mountains are now going to be more looked for in terms of mining and offer greater ore generation, since we again only have 64 blocks downwards to explore [at sea level].. Not that I don't dislike that, kinda wish there was a watertable though. it'd be cool to >Dig a block. >instant water source spawns in its place. but I can see the glitchyness in doing so, so it can stay a dream. 

Are lava pools going to spawn? and if so what biome? 

seems like fun, heck you can catch crawdads [crayfish] on a fishing line too.. if there could be some sort of mini-game instead of just right clicking would make it better too. and crayfish you can dredge in water with a net, is a lot easier then hand catching. also freshwater shrimp if any of this gets added. 

Waves can be block animation. sound attached to said blocks. sea foam could be a particle animation. on top of the blocks. I don't have a good example currently. 

are ocean/beach noises in play? what about blended sounds? Say you have a beach biome and it has beach like sounds attached to that biome, but it "feathers" out into other nearby biomes so it just doesn't cut off as soon as you leave that biome like some other mods do.

anyways, ambient sound makes a vidya game.. 

You can't do that with a log IRL, no matter how good you are. Axe is suitable to make firewood, not planks.

Pine resin, and birch bark resin make great glues. and sealers!

My father owns a birch bark canoe from Canada, its made the old way the natives use to use. Its almost 100% made of birch. some other fir's wood is uses also, I don't remember what. the cracks and bottom are sealed with birch resin.

As I live somewhere were birch isn't available, I know only how to make pine resin primitively.

1/4th charcoal 3/4th pine resin. is my favorite way of making pine resin.

Crush charcoal into a decent powder. that's the "European" way.

This native american way is using animal droppings.. I don't like to use this method because normally by time I need resin, I always got a fire going and I always place myself 50-150 yards away from water. [skeeters get bad around here!] that allows me to cook a few sticks on a large logs and throw them into the water to cool and use them. But I don't like to cook animal crap because it smells much like crap..

As far as I know birch bark resin is made by "cooking" the green bark over a fire, and it collects at the bottom of the fire pit. Kind of like how a bloom is created with ores. Again don't mark me on that.

now.. You said something about nails. before modern "nails" all the older nails where square, because a blacksmith made them on an anvil and it was faster to make them square then round. to me their isn't a difference between square and round. On soft woods during woodworking round could be better because they wouldn't spall[splinter] as badly. Now to me I have casted bronze nails before in a ceramic molds. Made 10 nails at once. 20 nails in a single cast. So maybe have a nail mold instead of hammering them on the anvil.. so you could get more nails faster. also they look a lot cleaner casted then hammered.

But over all, the post sounds good. of course this much detail is always gonna require work and you gotta think about if it's really "worth it." I always thought that the wooden planks [block] should have gravity until nailed [like normal dirt].

So eh, this is my 2 cent, worth it or not? Probably not.

in my opinion its not the servers fault, its a great server the problem is that someone cant accept that there banned so there are complaining about it and spamming up the thread.

The problem is, there was no defined rules. It was a free-for-all. No reason for the owner to make up some sort of BS rule right on the spot just to have a reason to ban someone.. That's the problem, That's why he was wrong. No one's asking to be unbanned. We're all asking the owner to apologize.

Um thts squirrelzz and I'm not banned from here or carpe aurum. And ownage hasn't been on in month or anywhere in months he is the one who got squirrelzz banned along with the server not me. Not this one but the other one.

And back when ownage was on I wasn't an admin on carpe aurum.

And again only friends on this server are admin and owner. I didn't bring Anyone anywhere. But I'm glad thy are happy on this server.

I attached two forms of proof of exactly how ultimaheart4 works..

First one, convincing people lies and forcing hatred towards others.

Second one, Was from the last server that recently closed a conversation about when the first out of to follow 3 major grief attacks. After he was banned, the griefing happened more, pointing to it was him calling the shots the whole time.

If you get the opinions from all of the other members on the server, Squirrelzz was being completely obnoxious and has on several occasions been reported to me as a problem. He was also caught using hack mods which was witnessed by a handful of players. The whole time he has been on the server, I and others have seen him freak out and spam the chat full of arguments and explicit language. That will not be tolerated, as it disrupts the game for others and is completely unnecessary.

It is for the above reason that Squirrelzz was banned from the server.

And these claims and report you where getting where from already troubled players. who for no apparent reason did not like him. Did they ever offer any proof of his hacking? I never saw it myself. nor had anyone else, only this "Group" of players. Who in fact PLAY together, where making these claims, are you SURE they weren't making all this up just to get him into trouble? Sure sounded like it to me.

Also How do you justify any of your actions? I'm curious on the REAL reason. Because you can't take outside criticism? Because he called you an idiot? Because maybe, just maybe, you've been fed a bunch of crap by right hand theorist.. without proof you take their word. No one had problems with him, only like 5 players who attacked HIM on a daily basis for no reason. You did cause a lot of this. Granner only started talking down on him after YOU got on an started throwing out insults with you and your little friends. And he started defending himself to multiple people.

Ah, I see. I was wondering why he was banned, as he was helpful to me and my team, getting us on our feet when we started. He seemed nice enough, if very sarcastic. Now that I think about it, it'd be a true shame if any of the gifts he brought us were cheated for. Dang.

He was not cheating.. That's all I'm gonna say about that, you can believe what others tell you. That's up to you, but I can swear he wasn't cheating by any means.

Also he was not being disruptive, he asked granner a question, granner ignored his question. He asked it again, Granner warned him for spamming. he wanted his question answered, granner kept ignoring him, in order to get granners attention he called him an idiot, and granner banned him. Again. GRANNER let his personal feelings get in the way of his admin duty's. Also after he repeated several times that his server was a PURE SURVIVAL server. Didn't know name calling was against the rules. Maybe he should define them a little better then if he's gonna just wing off banning players.

All I can really say, is granner get your crap together, You know what you did was wrong. Just admit to it. It's not gonna kill you to apologize.

Edit: and if you feel like apologizing, I've already talked to him, and he said that he would like to respectfully talk to you about what made you ban him for no reason.. And already told me that it's okay to PM you his skype name. So just say so and I'll hook you two up without disturbances. and chatter from outside sources and you two can talk/type One on one about the problem. Not telling you to unban him, I'm simply asking that you two talk about this whole boat load of crap and maybe work something out..
