      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. An Idea

Dont use XP, it's lost when you die, what about if I have shitloads of steel and only steel tools? If I die I can't craft them again and I have to live with stone tools while having steel. And when you kill someone with XP it drops XP himself, you don't learn/have ideas by killing someone. That has a simple solution, however. Simply use another "Knowledge bar" that has leveling just like XP bar, but isn't reset when you die.
  2. Public Service Announcement -- MCEdit

Don't worry Tsu, glad I could help, good luck spawning ore veins! If you pass me a tutorial when you finish development, you will help me a lot once I start making adventure maps in build 78!
  3. My suggestions are: Get the following mods if you wish: -Extra Firma -Leather Water Sac -Custom NPCs -Either Mytown or Terra Duellum And, don't get Rusticam Melius. If possible, configure year legth to 360 and try not to whitelist the server. If you get Extrafirma at least be sure I'll join
  4. -- Thanks, and it's because Dunk doesn't want disgusting stuff in TFC, just like feces, urine, etc.
  5. Good starter seed

  8. Snow Capped Mountains

Aye, to make it look like a decent snow capped mountains we need stacked snow. That doesn't look like a realistic snowcapped mountain. (Or at least believable) And another alternative would be to increase world height limit. (Althrough this would increase lag terribly)
  9. Snow Capped Mountains

You know? Just for the aesthethics (and possibly a mining bonus), it could be possible that the world spawns taller mountains (or make temperature go down faster as you go up). In the equator, where it doesn't snow at sea level there is snowcapped mountains. Examples are: -Kilimanjaro, in Africa -According to my history documents, Tenochtitlan (aztec capital, now Mexico DF) was surrounded by snowcapped mountains (wasn't really at equator, but it doesn't snow on sea level there). -Himalaya mountains in Tíbet. On the sea level, India is hot, compare that to Mt. Everest. -Los Andes mountains from Colombia to Chile are snowcapped, and Colombia, Ecuador and Peru are near the equator. -(Not sure if true) When I saw the movie Argo, the capital of Iran, Tehran, had snow capped mountains next to it. (Gosh, that is friggin desert!) Also, the Sarracen got snow from the mountains to use it in some applications. The first ice-creams, the sherbet, were made from snow, and snow from mountains was even used to calm down fevers. So yes, this sight would be a paradise in TFC: Another thing, make snow items (snow blocks, snowballs) melt over time, and could collect with hands or shovel. (Right now only way to do it is with water). Even in chests, snow could melt if temperatures are too hot. To store ice (make it obtainable with knife/chisel) and snow without losing it is making a Yakhchal. Yakhchal were structures built in Ancient persia, to store snow and ice, and even food, and it acted as present day refrigerators. Althrough they could be made smaller if the devs wish. Size didn't matter in Yakhchal, just the structure. To give use to what I said uses for snow and ice in TFC could be added. So well then hope you like.
  10. One Single Giant Server

I mean that isn't really surviving alone. If you trade from other players they interferred on your survival. So it isn't technically surviving alone/playing alone. But hey, we are getting off the main topic. Keep it on the single giant server.
  11. What about a big battle between TFC players?

I don't really suggest red steel vs bronze, man, it's obvious who's gonna win. The idea is that the watcher doesn't know who is gonna win. Maybe steel armor with wrought iron weapons. That way the fight is long, and there are random chances. That way it's better.
  12. When will Build 78 be released?

    Why?
  13. Snow Capped Mountains

You are right in most things, yet part of the suggestion was to increase the cooling of temperature as you go up. If in y 150 I had 20 and y 151 I had 20.5, change it to y 150-20 y 151-21, so more snowcapped mountains appear. Make them generate a bit taller. Like 10 blocks taller.
  14. An Alternate Dimension

    No dimensions! Please! (No offence)
  15. Ingame money

Hmmm... you're very clever... Well, when I said "having steel" I meant being in steel age (I prefer to call it medieval age due to Blast furnaces invented in XIV century ) Because in the end, the only way to have a steel ingot and living uncomfortably is robbing it. By the time you have a bloomery you are living cozily already in my opinion.
  16. standalone possible?

Maybe a warlock summoned Herobrine and the monsters, and instead of Enderdragon, the final boss is Herobrine. (Now, how to find it? )
  17. One Single Giant Server

Indeed agree with that TFC is not for everyone part. (Althrough I wasn't for TFC but mastered it easily) But if you want to survive alone it's smarter to play on singleplayer, as you take out resources you won't share with anyone. And you used them, meaning nobody else can have them. Singleplayer is there for some reason eh? If you survive alone, don't use up resources that people like me, that intend to arise factions, that truly demand lots of ore, for example, and you take up virgin land, meaning you complicate the gameplay for other peoples. So yes, I think it's evil to go on a server and survive alone. I really miss AssHat due to the simple fact that team work was forced, (heck 32 gunpowder for a town). There is an equal quality in singleplayer if you survive alone. Don't waste resources that more than one person can have. That's the reason that surviving alone on servers is yes, a huge manifestation of evil... Resuming, I say you can survive alone, I think it's bad to survive alone on servers.
  18. The probability of large kingdoms in TFC

Only way to upgrade skills is killing mobs
  19. Ingame money

Ya, ok, your right, but there is a simple simple problem with what ye said You can't survive forever. You will evetually have food, a shelter, stuff... Are you survivng when you have steel, my question is? No, by that times you are living cozily, not surviving. And to have a comfort life, trading is needed. To have food guaranteed, you don't necessarily have to farm for it forever. Eventually you can buy it. For me TFC means surviving only in early game. The rest is proper life, and proper life has trading.
  20. The probability of large kingdoms in TFC

Uprisings can be solved easily via curfews, and burn every house with everyone inside, bwahahahahah!! JK, the true way to solve uprisings is to give free alcohol to each citizen and kill taxes for a month er two.
  21. What about a big battle between TFC players?

This is a battle, not Capture the flag
  22. The probability of large kingdoms in TFC

In RL society, taking apart the concept of pests, not all people were farmers. On a single medieval kingdom only half the people were farmers. Others were priests, nobles, and even I highly doubt soldiers were farmers. So I think food production in TFC is good as it is.
  23. The probability of large kingdoms in TFC

Gallows are pros, viva death penalty! Screw jails!
  24. That planet exists actually, it is Mercury, althrough I think it's 80 days.
