      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. I figured that is what the crash was about. I haven't experienced this myself in single play, so was wondering how nbt data could be missing. I suspect it was cheated in somehow. This is the second person with corrupted food on my server.

Edit: Either it was cheated or perhaps food items nbt data gets corrupted when received as a reward in Better Questing. I had trouble giving sandwiches/salads through the questbook so maybe.

  2. Hi Bunsen,

The credits were basically a copy and paste from the manifest from Curse. I definitely can add kitty and dunk to the credits. I know how much they put into this mod as well.

    Nice! :)

If I were to play this pack are all the mods compulsory or could I, for example, choose not to include Railcraft?

Unfortunately if you remove mods, it may corrupt the questbook and become unplayable. You can always try.

Tutorial styled modpack for players who have little to no knowledge of Terrafirmacraft

    Hosted on Curse here

    or get it on github

Most mod packs for Terrafirmacraft assumes players have a working knowledge of the mod and are geared toward extending the game play for veteran players. This mod pack is different. I have included a quest book to guide players from basic survival to learning what it takes to run your homestead then eventually to more technology.

This pack includes a lot of the addons/bridge mods and helps you learn those as well. I did not use Minetweaker or another program to alter anything.

Beginner map is in the template folder. You will need to move it to your save folder to play it.

I believe that the chisel should be of a more durable material than the material of the ingot. Maybe I'll add an option to configuration file, but for now you can use MineTweaker to change steel nuggets recipe. I absolutely do not mind. ))

    https://github.com/Shurgent/TFCTech/blob/master/src/main/java/ua/pp/shurgent/tfctech/core/ModOreDictionary.java#L198

You can use "itemChiselMedium" Ore Dictionary name in steel nuggets recipe.

I thought that was the case, however I noticed you could make copper nuggets with a copper chisel and so on.

  5. Suggestion: Since Bioxx considers Steel to be the technical endgame of tfc, shouldn't you make it so steel nuggets can be made using a steel chisel? This would allow more precise measuring of alloys.

In my opinion, powered quern is a most important improvement.

Many non-TFC mods are supporting grinders or macerators, but they doesn't work well with TFC food.

Electric oven which automatically eject food before it incinerate, would be also welcome.

Is it possible to add negative temperature to frozen food, to prevent eating before food is heated up after picked from freezer? It would help for better fridge/freezer balance.

i like the idea of having to heat food from the deep freezer but wondering how hard that would be hehe

  8. on the one hand an electric kiln sounds fun but honestly I think the kiln from the Automated Bellows mod is as upgraded you need. By the time you are using electricity/RF you aren't using much pottery anymore except for ingot molds.

I think it it would be nice to have metal ingot casts that don't break rather than an electric kiln.

Question: The Induction Furnace is basically an electric crucible correct? Or is it more than that? Does it replace the forge completely?

Edit: nvm the question. Realized just now you have vids

I've been playing for almost 3 months and I'm coming into my second winter. I've needed lots of help from the wiki and from this site, but I've not bothered to sign up before. I really wanted to jump on and say a huge thanks to the mod creators and support team that answer everyone's questions.

I've mostly focused on agriculture and getting ALL the different kinds of animals, and fruit trees and crops. I'm about to make some cheese for the first time. And I want to find those darn chickens! I've not done much mining. I've had a few too many close calls with collapsing mines but am just now exploring how support beams work. I've just figured out charcoal pits and have made a forge. I'm about to try making double ingots for the first time. I'm having a HEAP of fun with this!

I'm playing in peaceful just because I'm more interested in exploring and building. I've added in WAILA and a mapping mod so I can waypoint everything. Once I feel like I've really built myself an awesome iron-age home I'll probably start again with the mobs to make it more difficult.

Huge kudos to everyone behind this mod.

Welcome to the forums! TFC so extensively changes Minecraft that it is indeed a lot to take in at times. It has taken me three years to feel like I may have mastered this mod :P and I say a big MAYBE

  10. I may have missed it in this thread, but when I place the tree tap and latex bowl to a Hevea tree, how long will it take to extract? Is it dependent on temperature? would be nice to have Waila support eventually on the bowl. Thanks for all your hard work on this mod! I am really enjoying it!

  11. I petitioned Curse to add your mod to their 3rd party list but it was denied because of the following:

    Hey there,

We are unable to approve your submission of TooMuchTime-TFC for inclusion on the Third Party List at this time because the license page you linked claims that their license is MIT because the original TooMuchTime is MIT, but this is incorrect; TooMuchTime uses the GPLv2 license per the https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/toomuchtime project page. That being the case, any derivatives must also use GPLv2 or they are in violation of the terms or the original project's license.

    Take care,
    Torhal
