      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Questioning some ones intelligence and/or social knowledge by use of a derogatory term can not be considered "endearing". ESPECIALLY not in a format like the internet where emotional expression is extremely limited.

...Tell that to an Australian. Happy term for your fun-loving nephew is the C-bomb. Here we often use the f-bomb to refer to each other in often friendly ways. Emotional expression is limited on the Internet, I agree - but that only means that you end up interpretting it in your own local dialect. That does not make it mean something other that what it does in the dialect of the person speaking. That is sometimes known as the 'Fallacy of Local/Traditional Knowledge'. Ie, applying what you know on to what everyone *must* know.

I have yet to here you swear once so unfortunately we aren't quite that buddy-buddy between each other to not take some offense well the noobs certainly aren't anyways

well, that was an interesting read.

Let me just toss in my 2 cents, first off, what I said in this thread was no different than any other post of a similar nature other than instead of saying "WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!!!!!" I said "welcome to the fucking forums" I never actually insulted DieHero, I said the exact same thing (effectively) I've said to dozens of other newbies, I just had a less "enthusiastic" welcome. So stop getting boxers in a knot, and chill out.
